putting the turbo in that area is actually a great design. I like the way hal's is set up.

The radiator brace looks like a pretty simple build but i'm not sure what he did for the radiator. I think he built his own which I wouldn't even know where to start.

ahh I was thinking of the race car. Hal street setup is just the same as any other PL setup, but has a huge turbo and huge down pipe that had to fit, so it had to be moved more forward

no reason you couldnt do that as well.

The way to go for a custom radiator is Howe Racing for sure. They will build you a custom radiator which half of what the radiators for our car cost and the quality is top knotch. That is what happens when you look in other crowds, i.e. circle track, where people are not willing to pay the ridiculous prices we do.

Ive had three radiators made for my z (dye to design changes) and they all came in at under $300. We also use one on our Pikes peak Porsche 928 and have had no problems.

Drivers side just right of the intercooler the way we are looking at it the down pipe will sit just above the steering column gonna need alot of heat wrap and possiby a heat shield

We are putting my car up on stands tomarro and gonna see what size piping etc. will fit and blah blah then we should be able to draw up a legit and detailed design.

are you doing forward facing manifolds? you should have a lot more room if you do that verses the cross over pipe that has to squeeze back through.

We havent decided weather to do forward facing or not yet. we need to get the car in the air so we can see what our best bet is so we can make the most power. and be the most sensible. Cause we are trying to keep power steering and A/C

Getting the manifolds to point forward is extremely hard to do. You have an A/C, thermostat and thermostat bypass tube to the heater core on the river side that get in the way and the power steering and alternator on the other side. I had to move my alternator to the driver side, lower my power steering down to the cross member, modify my driver side coolant tube and thermostat and eliminate the heater core tube in order to come up with a no compromise design. Of course mine is a bit over the top compared to what is possible.

That's why my car is a bigger money pit than yours and only has 9000 miles on it over five years

We think we have a pretty good idea how we are gonna fothis now forward facing mounts doesn't make sense it's just not practical.

It looks like the easiest way will be mount the turbo on the drivers side (gt42r) in front of the wheel well.
The charge pipe will run about 6-10inch from intercooler into the turbo.
Down pipe will run from the turbo straight back to my single exit exhaust.
It will run from the turbo make a slight left to male it back into the engine bay over the steering rack and then back to the Greddy tic.
We will then fab up a y pipe to connect the headers into one pipe haven't decided weather to go over the transmission or under
if we go over the design will be:
up from the drivers side over the transmission connect to drivers side header down and forward over the steering rack and across the front of the motor back into the exhuast side of the turbo
