APS single turbo oil problems
background:
2003 350z
APS single turbo kit(non GTM upgrade. only mod to the kit is a 3.0 gallon a min oil scavenge pump/oil supply restrictor)
APS 2.5 exhaust
built short block
I am leaking oil from my turbo for the second time in 500 miles, bought a new one 500 miles go(because one before that was blown) and now bought a new rebuild 100 miles ago(same oil leaking trough turbo) . Oil is all in intercooler piping and some leaks into exhaust side as well. It smokes quit a bit sometimes.
The one thing i am trying, as of this afternoon, is after I turn the car off, then to turn the key back to "ON" so just electrical turns on/my scavenge pump, so that the pump will suck out oil from turbo so it doesn't just sit overnight in the turbo and seep trough the seals.
I have a restrictor on the turbo so its def no getting to much oil to blow the seals.
Need help if I am taking the right approach on my problem and maybe if someone has a better idea on what i should do about it.
Let me know if anyone needs more info.
Thanks ahead of time for the help

You are on the right track with leting the scavenge pump run for a bit after the engine is turned off. I had this problem untill I came up with a solution, it being a small reservoir that mounts to the turbo oil drain. Basically, I made a small tank under the turbo so once the engine is off the oil in the turbo suply line has a place to go. It is important to have a breather on the reservoir as well, otherwise it is useless. The oil will displace air as the oil suply line drains and it needs to go somewhere.
You can see the outlet in the second picture, this goes to the scavenge pump ofcourse. Can't see the breather (not installed yet) but it is basically a piece of 1/2" tubing that goes up just above the outlet, with a breather filter mounted on the end.
It has worked great for me, and solved all my smoking issues that I had for the first week. It works great and there isn't even a hint of blue smoke in the exhaust. I had a friend drive the car hard while I was following, so I know this for sure.
Something like this:
It is 1"x1"x6" stainless square tubing with some sleeves welded through for the bolts. Here is the old one I had, with the sleeves showing:
This eliminates any chances of oil leaking past the bolts.

Boosted Probe, could you please post pictures of how you have the breather? I have this same issue with the boosted performance kit and the little box I have underneath, does not have a breater.
