I will say this though, my VDC has been disabled since I got my car back in April. I don't what the shop did when they installed my motor and turbo kit but the VDC light is on, and the slip light is on. Also my SES light is on. But the car drives perfectly fine.

you have an error code that you need to scan and fix. they didn't "fix" your car, they actually have messed something up.

search on here and there are quite a few threads that show what all 3 of those lights give you. When my steering sensor was messed up it gave me those lights.

I'm gonna wait and get everything redone eventually. I was without my car for a year. I prolly drive it 3 days out of the week anyway. Its been like that for 8 months.

Just check the code. I had the same lights and it was the crank position sensor, due to a bad crank encoder on the JWT flywheel.
It just sucks seeing those lights not to mention not having VDC when you want it.

It is the SM20 and it's only $39. It is important to note that the KPtech unit is NOT an auto off module - it is a memory module. The module keeps VDC off until YOU turn it back on, then it leaves it on until it is shut off. In essence it turns the momentary pushbutton in to a toggle switch.

The "new" version of the module (that is shipping now) also has an AUX output that can be used to disable the yaw sensor (faults out the entire system). This AUX function is enabled by holding the VDC button down for ~5 seconds. The AUX output is NOT a memory output so you have to purposefully enable the AUX output whenever you need total control of the car.

The KPtechnologies SM20 module seamlessly integrates safety with convenience and does it for under $40!

/shameless plug!

If anyone has any questions about the module let me know - it's a quick 3 wire installation!
Will this prevent the brake system computer from applying rear brake when you are doing a power braked burn out? I think it normaly does this?

Will it prevent the ECU from closing the throttle blade when the brake and gas are both pressed?

I don't know of any way to stop the rear brakes from being applied (without a line lock or something along those lines).

The AUX output can be used for virtually anything - you could use it to interupt the brake signal that goes to the ECU, thus allowing braking and accelerating at the same time.

i'm pretty sure the yaw sensor disable removes the power brake problem. There is an extensive thread on here about vdc disabling. Cutting the yaw sensor wire gives the slip light and also allows you to power brake without the engine cutting out. that should be the same thing KP tech is doing with the aux output.

I currently haven't messed with the yaw sensor now. I just pull the brake light fuse and it faults the system. This winter i plan on doing the toggle switch on the yaw sensor.
