Water problem need help
I have a 04 350z twin turbo and every time i wash my car i get a puddle of water in the driver and passenger floor then i have trouble starting up the car and white smoke comes out of the exhaust

pull your wipers off and all the black plastic parts under them there are 2 big plug covers there One is for the ECU the other is part of the body harness. they are probly just no set in correctly.

I also had this problem. instead of taking the time to route the wires to the ECU through the original gromet hole, they just cut the gromet(more like a boot) in half and ran the wire that way. What I did was reseat the "boot" and put a large hose clap around the the boot where it seats into the flange. Then used ALOT of gasket sealer to seal the boot up. To test for leaks I left a hose running on various angles all over the windshield area and it was sealed with no problem!! Theres a large harness under the passenger side dash on the side wall infront of the door. Chances are water is getting in the wiring and causing resistive values to change, thus the ECU compensates with fuel, air, timing changes etc...
