Turbo install VS Supercharger install questions. Please Advise
First off I have a 2003 350z.
I know the 350z engine area doesn't have much room. I was wonder how the install is on each. I wanna know which is easiest to install? How long does it normally take? from a experienced mechanic.
any pictures would be greatly appreciated
Say the single turbo turbonetics kit compared to the twin greddy kit, with intercooler, the intercooler part doesn't seem very hard. How much of a need is an intercooler? I know cold air makes power, but for everyday fun driving is it needed? How does the turbonetics kit link into the exhaust since its mounted upfront?
Supercharger seems easiest to install but are there any hard parts? I really dont want a super charger because you have to get a new hood from what Ive seen and read.
I'm mostly concerned about the turbo installs. These kits come with the exhaust piping and everything right? Do they come with injectors and an fuel pump? What about the stock cpu?
Are the 03 350z's dual exhaust from the manifolds stock or Y'ed together? Mine had an injen exhaust, but I'm not sure if the are Y'ed upfront or not.
I want to buy a kit, used or new, just wondering how difficult the installs are. Do I have to do anything fancy to my stock cpu? I heard about flashing it but do I need a fuel controller?
When looking for used turbos or supercharger, what are the most important things to ask and parts that must be included? I dont wanna buy a used kit and have to buy a bunch more parts to get it to work.
Hope I dont sound like a no0b, lol but wanna get everything in order before I get a kit.

First off everything you want to know is already here somewhere, even full install threads with pictures. 2nd, dont buy something based on ease of install buy something based on what your end goal is.
You should always run a intercooler or meth/water injection, most people go with intercoolers.
If you read up on turbo kits you'd see that the turbonetics is the bottom of the chain turbo kit, you get what you pay for, with that being said, if you have a stock car and play on running only the turbonetics kit with no future mods, its not a bad kit, however if you plan on upgrading or tweaking anything, DO NOT get it.
There's single, twins, and rear mount turbos. twins will be the hardest to install, singles and rear mounts will be easier.
Superchargers will be the easiest.
ECU will be reflashed with the turbonetics, most others use piggy back systems that will need to be tuned by a tuner.
most turbos can be done in a full wekend if you know what you're doing and have enough tools, superchargers I've seen done in 1 full day.
I'd rather spend 5 days installing a random kit if it means geting what I want in the end, again, its not about whats easier to install, its about what YOU want from your car.
Also remember to have 50% more money then you think you need for all the random stuff, also you say you have an 03. how many miles on it?

thanks for the help
I have an 03 with 80,000 miles. I dont need my car to be a monster. I just want more power. Being stock the car is so damn slow. The car before this I had a VR4 twin turbo T5 turbos. That thing was a beast.
I just want more power to make this Z fun. I doubt there will be future upgrades. I just want a fun car that wont be a daily headache.
