Default Ragingbull350z is a low life

I bought Ernesto's Greddy twin turbo kit he had posted here for sale back in Nov. We had great communication during the time where I was putting the funds together to buy the kit from him and he assured me everything was fine with the kit and it only needed a couple of bolts for the manifolds to mount to the motor which he said I could grab at any hardware store. I gave him his asking price no haggling involved.

I get the kit as promised after I sent payment and had a friend of mine go over the kit with me to ensure that everything required to install it was there. Things are going along fine and we get to the manifolds... THEY"RE CRACKED!!! Both manifolds are cracked and one of them was even welded as an attempt at repair but as you know welding cast iron is damn near impossible with any kind of reliability and sure enough there was cracking in the welded areas as well. I try reaching out to Ernesto who tells me that he knew about the cracks and the failed repair attempts and assured me the cracks were only surface deep

So in an effort to solve the problem peacefully I ask Ernesto to split the cost of new manifolds with me so I can get the kit installed on schedule. He tells me he doesn't have money to do this at the time (it was close to Christmas). So trying to be understanding I ask him to send me the money by the 2nd week of January (which gave him almost a month). Since that time I haven't heard anything else from him, he changed his number or disconnected his phone and he logs on here but ignores my PMs. I was trying to keep the problem between him and myself all this time and I had let too much time pass to file a claim with Paypal so I'm basically ****ed out of the money I sent him and have cracked manifolds on an otherwise perfect kit that i can't install until I find replacement manifolds to use.

Anybody looking to do business with Ernesto (Raginbull350Z) make sure you get close up pics of each item and double check with him to make sure that everything is in perfect working condition before you send him any money.

At this point I know he's not going to do the right thing and refund me some money toward the manifolds so I just wanted to take a second and warn others about his selling practices

Sorry for your loss, but the real moral of the story is to pay with credit card (even if you use paypal) and if you have an issue, file a claim within 30 days, no matter what.

That sucks. You can braize cast steel though, I have done it. Not sure how it would hold up on a manfiold with constant temperature fluctuantions though.

There are things I would never buy used, turbo kits and built motors are on top of the list. Just how I look at it.

I know too much time has past but before the time was up you should have activated the dispute so at least you had something.

and yes, your right. He's ignoring you now and you will not see any of that money. That's what people do when they owe someone money.

it never ceases to amaze me how that stupid *** thread gets brought up every chance someone finds. All my customers got their money back and there aren't any open issues with me. I was just making people aware of a bad seller. I wasn't looking for any of you to magically do anything for me.

so if you wanna chalk it up to karma then fine but I didn't jerk any of my customers regardless of what that thread says

I feel fine. I sleep just fine at night too cuz all those issues are closed with those customers. they all got their money back and the thread is old.

I wasn;t looking for sympathy. I was just enlightening the rest of you not to buy from the user I got the turbos from

ohh well, good luck finding replacement manifolds. They will cost as much or more than you paid for the kit.

Did he disclose this to you before you bought the kit?

NO he didn't disclose that the manifolds were cracked, had been cracked or attempted to be repaired. He said the kit was in excellent shape and nothing was wrong with it except needing a couple longer manifold bolts which were easy to acquire

had he told me the manifolds were cracked or welded I'd have stayed away from the kit and never bought it and I told him as much when I told him about the cracks. Then he dropped off the face of the earth on me
