Default Feedback on gauge setup

So I picked up a 05' with a stage 2 Stillen supercharged kit. The car came equipped with tons of gauges, but unfortunately, were mounted under the dash on both passenger and driver's side. Not to mention, they're 60mm Autometer pro-comp gauges, which don't exactly go with the interior of the car.

Anyway, I'm going to redo the gauges in the car with some Prosport amber/white gauges, but am still debating a few choices and options and would like to get some feedback. One thing I'd like you guys to keep in mind that I'm probably not going to be doing anymore power upgrades (for a while), and the car is mainly a daily driver.

The car is currently equipped with:
-mechanical boost
-oil/water temp
-(2) EGT gauges

So thoughts/questions:
1. Debating whether to keep the two EGT gauges, or go with a wideband (AEM) and toss the EGTs. For a street app, what do you guys feel is more practical?

2. Going to be replacing my current oil temp gauge with an oil pressure, and plan on running this and the water temp up on top on the stock gauge pod. I remember seeing a thread where someone was able to keep the stock info gauge, and replace the other two. I've searched like crazy and have not found been able to find it. If someone has some info on this, it would be MAD APPRECIATED.

So ultimately, I'll either be running: Boost/oil pressure/water temp/AF
OR: boost/oil pressure/water temp/2 EGTs.

Once again, I want to remind you all that this is a daily driven car that will scarcely see the track. But of course, want to be aware of what's going on with my engine. Thanks!

My advice is get two widebands(1 for each bank), boost, fuel pressure & oil pressure

2. Going to be replacing my current oil temp gauge with an oil pressure, and plan on running this and the water temp up on top on the stock gauge pod. Basically; the stock info gauge can be "broken" off from the pc board with the other two gauges. You can then replace the OEM voltimeter & oil pressure gauges.

3. So ultimately, I'll either be running: Boost/oil pressure/water temp/AF
OR: boost/oil pressure/water temp/2 EGTs.

I suggest: boost/oil pressure/water temp/2 widebands

just do a clean cubby gauge pod with aem wideband and aem boost gauge to match instead of a ricer setup with gauges everywhere...

the gauges come with white and black faces so they can be color matched..i run the white and it looks great with my frost white interior

Considering the daily driver status of my car, two widebands might possibly be a bit overkill for my application. Don't you think so? If I were to run TWO widebands, would I need two individual gauges or can the AEM take readings from both banks?

And as far as the info gauges being "broken off" from the PC board, can you provide a slight bit more info on this process? Just because I don't wanna "break" things the wrong way.

Ideally, I want to go the cubby route. But unfortunately, the cubby space is currently taken up with a push start button and a couple toggle switches. I'm hoping to get that all removed ASAP. The cubby setup is pretty nice though.

So if I were to go with a wideband(s), because I don't have headers, would I be ok to just set them up on the y-pipe from my NISMO exhaust?

u dont need 2 widebands, thats ridiculous and overkill for this.....

as far as installing a wideband if u have cats the bung has to be before the catalyst part toward the headers but still on the cat is easiest just under where it bolts to the header like i said before the catalyst part of it though or it will mess up ur readings..if u have test pipes then it can just go on the test pipe...

Seems like overkill for my pathetic Stillen supercharger, right Adman?

Therefore, I'm still kind of stuck on whether tossing the EGTs and running the UEGO, or sticking to the EGTs for basic monitoring purposes. I guess the bung can be installed on the Y-pipe part of the Nismo exhaust, correct?

the y pipe is after the cats so no u wouldnt want it there..normally it is on the cat pre catalyst or on the test pipe

do u have cats on the car? if so it needs to go before the cat, even if u have test pipes and no cats u would still probably want to just put it on the test pipe

My bad. Didn't think about the cats being so far up. So the cats do have a pre-catalyst the bung can go onto?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UG6080_iH14 Just get this, then if you need oil temp you have room. I'm in an A32 but have this fiberglassed on the steering column cover. Readily available to view, multireadouts, I have a dual gauge pod with currently oil pressure gauge only, I may do intercooler air temp or something else, maybe oil temp. But I loved this thing since it was compact and had all the readouts without adding a bunch of gauges and analog gauges at that.

no u have to have a bung put on so u can screw another sensor in that comes with the wideband...heres a pic of a bung put on a berk high flow cat pre catalyst..would be the same for a stock cat

some test pipes come with the extra bungs already with plugs in them to use if u want or leave plugged...berk test pipes already have the bung as well as some others...when i ordered my berk high flow cats though i had them weld another one on pre cat for an extra 20 bucks before they shipped them to me such as this picture...

HKS AFK supports 2 wideband sensors. I have one and I will be buying the 2nd sensor shortly. Also OP, if you are getting a wideband, I would get either HKS AFK, Innovate, or Zeitronix.

So after doing some thorough contemplating, I've decided that I'm going to go with a simple wideband (AEM), toss the EGTs, and just run boost, water temp, and oil pressure.

The fact of the matter is that I'm only running a stage two kit and don't plan on upgrading to a stage four for AT LEAST till the end of the year. And track time will be very minimal for the car as well. So after careful consideration, I think the setup I have decided to go with will be more than sufficient for my setup.

Everyone's input has been mad appreciated. Any other thoughts are welcomed.

So i wanna bump this thread back up with a new inquiry regarding my gauge setup. Since I'm going to be tossing the EGT gauges, would it be possible to use one of the bungs that was being used for one of the EGTs for an AEM wideband?

if you're referring to my actual gauge setup, I refuse to share. It's ghetto ( i bought the car that way)...

If you're referring to the setup where the EGTs are actually hooked up to, I don't have a picture, but will attempt to get one this weekend when I do the oil change.

That is BAD ***, but crazy overkill for my application. I'm just going to be running some Prosport gauges in the stock locations and a-pillar.

A single PLX iMFD could display 4 sources at the same time, and you can have up to 32 sources connected.
