^ LOL I thot someone posted something helpful but I guess not

Oh on a lighter note, the car did sound like Subaru WRX before it stalls out. I just thought it was funny. I also was thinking it might be the coil packs because on my previous car when the coilpack went out, it made the same exhaust note.

When I had a Vortech...the bearings went bad twice blowing oil everywhere......My MAF was oil soaked and the car would hardly run. Pull your MAF and Clean it with MAF cleaner.......then pull your turbine and get it fixed. I had to hot tank all my charge pipes and intercooler to get all the oil out. Needless to say, After this happedned twice to me I dumped the SC and went turbo instead. Vortech later had a press release about a batch of bad bearings blah blah blag. Good luck.

well, could be many things really...bad blower from the sound of the oil incident, but as far as the sound of ur car, yeah maybe that is combined and oil is on the maf or something causing a misfire...but also pull ur cats off and make sure they are not plugged...pull both and look in them.. idk man hard to diagnose not being there...the oil makes me wonder

if you have a bad compressor shaft seal and it is leaking internaly you should be having "ALOT" of oil being discharged from the BPV. is the bottom of the car covered in oil with heavy oil residue in the BPV? Also do you have the crank case vent system installed as per the vortech instructions? If you do i am thinking you may have a bad pcv valve that could be sticking open under boost conditions. if that is the case you will be pressurizing the crankcase under boost which could be forcing oil through the breather hose that is routed to the air cleaner/intake side of the supercharger.

try the simple stuff first. clean the maf with brake cleaner and plug it back in. take the sc belt off. if it runs fine then, you know your problem. try that then report back.

I did not see any oil puddling below the car. There was no oil coming out from the bpv either. I am just hoping vortech bearing went bad and nothing with the engine. Going to take the belt off first to see how that goes, will report back later today!

I had blown seals on my blower, and it squirted out of the back of my blower and up onto the hood on my car...

i hope its just busted bearings on the blower, causing the belt to not turn which may have cause your engine to stall. You should be able to drive the car without the cog belt; I did while I was getting my blower repaired. You may have also gotten oil on the maf and that may have caused the CEL too. Check the maf, then try and drive it without the cog belt.

if you drive the car with the belt off you will more than likely be running pig rich... unless your vortch system has the auxilary injector for boost... also check your cats if you have the time. dont let them get sucked back into the engine and make lapping compound out of your oil, like the altima 2.5s

A well tuned car with not have that issue...me and sweettalker have the same tuner...

I thought the same thing too, but my tuner assured me that the car would not run rich without the blower, as it only richens up when the car goes into boost (well, if properly tuned)

So I tried starting the car again. I thought I would be able to just drive it with no cog belt but didn't work so well. The car started fine just a little weak. But wheb it was idling, the car was slightly shaking. Enough to make me feel it isn't normal. When I rev, the revs seem to climb slower than usual. It would stay on until I tried driving it. Shut off after ten feet and died. Will crank but will not start. So..I wonder if dirty maf and oil in ur plugs combination could do this?

Shaking on idle? Not good...

but oil on maf may cause this too...I had this happen to me when I was having maf problems...

Also, i wonder if one of you're other bearings for the pulleys on the Vortech bracket may be bad?

if you have a V2 blower, are you losing a significant amount of oil pressure through the charger?

Dude, clean or chang the plugs, clean or change the mafs and your intake piping. If your intercooled, then dump any oil thats in intercooler or any pipes. If your engine is shaking its cuz of misfires and its usually due to plugs
