Default Timing chain assembly re-use

I just got my built longblock, but in my naivete didn't realize longblocks didn't come with the timing chain assembly and cover....

My question is should I replace the timing chain/assembly or can I re-use the timing chain assembly in my old engine?

As long as the original chain looks to be in good condition, I wouldn't hesitate reusing.

Unless the motor had a blown bearing and sent metal everywhere, the original chain should be fine as long as it looks to be in good condition as Chris has already said.

Haven't seen a bad chain yet...they are engineered to run for 200k miles.
