Prior to myself arriving to the event, I was running rich on my race gas map and my spark plugs were on there way out. Sharif was extremely busy throughout the event, but he managed to get it fixed just in time to have the 2nd fastest car behind Hal. ( Mike didn't run high boost, traction issue)
And the boost was 21 psi, my car is tuned for 24

I'm in Hendersonville tonight right by the airstrip. Its been an eventful ride down for sure. I got a later start than expected and am rolling solo after gremlins kept the rest of my group home.
I didn't even make it out of PA before I got pulled over. PA has started putting radar (both K and Ka band) on every road construction sign, so there were false signals all over the place on 81S. I got popped for 82 in a 55 with the fine doubled for the construction area. The trooper took pity on me leaving for vacation and lowered it to 82 in a 65, so it was $161.00 and 3 points.
Later, in VA, I caught a glimpse of a yellow Z up ahead in traffic. When I got closer I realized that there was another Z in front. Turns out it was zmedicx and a friend heading to ZdayZ. We caravaned for a bit and were having some fun when the VA Police brought it to a quick end
Just by luck of the draw I evaded getting a second ticket. The yellow Z got pulled over instead of me, even though I was passing him on the right at the time we went by the police . I was taking pics while we were driving and had I finished a second sooner I would have been clocked doing triple digits trying to catch up to Randy.
I saw a second yellow Z with a grey hood travelling solo as well. Hoping to get a quick wash in tomorrow and then meet up with everyone at the airstrip.

+1 on the police. I'm guessing they're just checking it out?
Do you guys still get a small crowd of locals checking out the event from the side of the road as we did during the first year?

I edged him out, I was the 3rd fastest car there, although I think me and Dil would be a very interesting race on the highway. On the last race he pulled ahead of me for the first 3/4 of the strip and at the end I was dead even with him before we had to brake

I run DR's all the time too.....kinda have to if you want any hope of sticking when you are above 650rwhp....
R888's are an option, but R compounds scare me in chicago (we still get freezing nights in the wpring and fall, and then the R888's are done)
Can't wait for vids everyone.

Rain in the forecast all day today in Fontana, so rather than drink myself into a stupor will Dill, I headed out late morning. 10 hours door to door with wet roads on the dragon and heavy rain for 2+ hours in NC. No tickets
A quick update before I crash out.... the cars were amazing!! I brought a knife to a gun fight... I had the slowest car there. I lost EVERY race
Wife just got home... more in the morning.

Glad you made it home safe and sound Chris. It was great meeting you in person. I'm telling you there's nothing wrong with your driving or the motor. It pulls strong, but it stutters in between gears. You've gotta get that Vipec flat shift issue worked out because it's just killing the car at every gear change. All good though man - lots of fun.
Although I lost lots of runs, I beat most folks at least once - 2 out of 4 Dil - we need a rematch - next year bro! Definitely need more boost to keep up with the race map crowd. Never ran Hal of course. He gave me a ride in his car and it was unreal. Thank you Hal!!! I said no thank you to a race after that!
Congrats to Hal of Injected Performance with his 350z and Joe Kenefic with the M6.
Rain today, but lots of fun running out to the wine and cheese event. Sharif's 370Z is fast in the twisties! He doesn't hold back much when it's wet, either. :/
Night guys. One day to go.
