Sharif is right. This is going to be the largest event venue without a formal NOTAM of airport closure and a whole bunch more $$ for liability. Ashville regional is close as well with almost double the length and width but it is a regional towered airport with commercial traffic so there would be considerable hurdles.

its a Notice to Airmen. Effectively it would be a runway closure due to motorsports. Since the field in Ashville is controlled by a tower and they have no way of contacting the cars racing they would have to shut down the runway during the period of the event. In an un-towered field like Hendersonville it is enter at your own risk. Still next year if it makes sense, you should have the airport manager file a NOTAM to shut the runway down from all incoming air traffic with the FAA during the event. It takes 10 minutes to file the paperwork and increases the level of safety.

Mike's car is a beast. Thank God for the LSD or else that car would be impossible to drive. I'd like to get in it again whenever the tc issues get worked out.

I'm still up in the air on what I'll bring to next years event - But I'm definitely looking forward to it. And I promise I'll stay in Fontana this time.
Took me a day to recover....

For sure man...... Will have the TC in by next event... I am changing out the injectors for the low impedance version so I can have a quick install of the Racelogic TC. Not planning on having my car dance around like the Vipor.

Tom..... Not sure what compound Yoka is giving me.... But whatever it is ... It has to be better than what I am using now. I am sure that with the TC it will hook up better. I use the same tires on another car with more power and it works fine with TC. I don't mind a little slippage with TC .... Its when it hooks up and snaps something that I would hate......

Did not want to push the car ... The TQ comes on violently the clutch allows zero slippage which made the LSD work it's azz off. All in all I am happy with the car.....just have to get use to it.

Adrian from Vinny10...... Glad you have good news on your car. See you guys next year.

We used the slightly less sophisticated method of looking upward into the sky, and stopping our runs if a small aircraft approach.
In fact, I think a neat 1950's'ish bi-plane almost landed on top of Dilsher's car.

Injector dynamics for the win! those are your best option.

I wonder how jerky the TC systems really feel. I mean we already have a TC system in our VDC. Seems that exactly how the ProEFI one works. Bogs out the motor for a second while the wheels start to grip.

Without good tires, I think would drive you insane more than a loose back end

I hear you Rich.... I saw a video of it on a Viper....the TC helped the Viper alot. I also agree... Nothing beats a good set of tires

Just a note, I pointed John, the owner of the airport to this thread, and he wanted you all to know that the runway was cloased and a NOTAM was issued. Unfortunately, some pilots didn't get the message and so the occasional aircraft came in. John monitors the frequency to make sure pilots are aware if they try to come in for landing.

I was kidding about airplanes landing on cars....and John didn't want you all to get the impression he was operating his airport in an unsafe manner.
