The valve body does not have a whp limit. The upgrade merely increases line pressure at the appropriate points to provider firmer, quicker shifts with less slip to minimize mechanical wear. If you're asking what whp the transmission can handle, well it's rated for 350 wtq or thereabouts, stock. All the mechanical parts will wear a little less quickly with the VB upgrade. Does that help?
I'm running ~400rwhp and have noticed the Transgo provides firmer shifts while under throttle. Light throttle still produces relatively normal feeling (sloppy) shifts.
Of the two modes.....auto mode has been most improved and second to third is TIGHT. Manual mode is really improved too especially when I'm on the gas.
Certainly recommend the mod!!!
Had to go back to tranny shop so they could top my fluid off after driving for a day worked out some air bubbles, so keep an eye on the way your car drives.
The line pressure bump via valve body upgrade will allow the clutches to hold more power and shift firmer but I would suggest anything above 450whp (depends on the dyno) puts you in the range where a full transmission upgrade would be a good thing to consider.
