Quick background, in 2007 in got an APS single turbo installed on my stock block...made about 400whp at 10psi. Over the past few years I've purchased some extras, Stoptech BBK up front, Haltech, Cosworth manifold, 830cc Deatchwerk injectors...and most recently (couple months ago) the stage 1 long block from IPP. My friend finally got some free time to pull my old motor and install the new one. He put a turbo blanket on from PTP, header wrapped the crap out of all the exhaust piping pre-turbo, made a brace for my oil solenoid, replaced the fuel line in the engine bay to get rid of some of the unnecessary bends/fittings, custom catch can that vents both valve covers, and a custom external wastegate with a tial 38mm slime line gate. I drove the car home today with my old injectors/unichip for the break in, and have a tune scheduled at AMS in about 9 days. I'm sure there are some things I'm forgetting...but that's pretty much the meat of it.
Once car is tuned, Ill post numbers/graphs with results. Cross your fingers...I'm hoping to be pleaseantly surprised, but likely it'll be around 500whp.

turbo is the standard off the shelf turbo that came with the aps st kit - gt35r, BUT the housing(s) are smaller than normal. according to aps website they say 16psi is good for 650hp worth of air flow...but they're obviously blowing hot air up MY *** like my turbo is to my motor past 15psi. turbo is internally gated from the kit, changed that up to be an external gate with a tial 38mm slim line gate, i think it has 8.8lb spring which should be good for 17.6 psi if i'm not mistaken.
the tuner said possible causes being exhaust valve float or cam problems...but i'd think the car would run like crap through out the whole rev range if that were the case?
i think it's time to convert this pos kit to a twin kit.
