update...
i had a look at the tensioner, it's at its max. all in.. which is weird.
the belt i got is Gates k060795. which i'm assuming is 79.5" ... hmmm. no idea what's going on.
the mechanic is suggesting that i need to change the engine pulley to an aftermarket one with the same size. plus change the BPV as well (which i can't understand why).
what do you guys think?

I don't have any part number... it was my tuner who went to a shop and bought one belt that was about 3cm shorter..
today we went tuning again.. and ran into new problems.... my tuner told me that the 600cc's were too big for the UTEC and 3.12 pulley.. so below 3k rpm the AFR would be either too lean or too thick.. so now we are going to drop the 600cc's and go with stock injectors..
let's hope the problem doesn't hit you.
my car has been sitting for 2 weeks now. and still is... so I can understand if u are frustrated.

can you ask your tuner what did he get you? i would appreciate it.
probably the UTEC can't scale the injectors, that's why your tuner might be facing such problem. if you do a search, you'll find alot of ppl ended up ditching the UTEC and going with another EMS (Osiris, F-CON, Haltech).
once you're car is up and ready with the stock injectors and no problems for couple of weeks/months, then you can look into investing some money in a better EMS, and at the same time putting those injectors back in to get them tuned in.
tbh, regarding my setup, i'm not too upset about it. i love to learn, and being in this situation can only increase my knowledge in this field. it sucks that i can't drive my only car and have to borrow someone else's, but life goes on, and one day the car will be ready and i'll be enjoying it.
always look at the cup half full.. not half empty..
the best of luck with your setup.

Hey Maxmood, you have a 5AT...your prob gonna have to mess with the calculated load vaules so that the trans gives enough line pressure to the clutches....i bet that is alot of you problem. I know GT-ER on here has some values he used on his Vortech 5AT and they seem to work well...

k060795 is an 80 1/8" long belt. that's what i use. the 79.5" belt is k060790
goodyear belts will work but generally gates belts work the best. Properly tensioned you shouldn't have an issue though.
and sticking with taht belt size and adding a pulley mod is the best route for no slip. pulley mod helps a bunch in getting more belt contact area along with not having to tighten your belts near as tight.

no reason to change all that stuff.

since i have access to Goodyear belts, i'll buy the shorter one for now and have a go at tightening it.
if i don't see any improvements, then i'm gonna do a pulley mod.

i did forget to mention one thing.. after my run last night, came back home, while the car is still running, i poped the hood up, and noticed the power steering fluid looks like it's boiling.
since the same belt drives the power steering pulley, i'm assuming it's probably not driving it properly (which is a belt slip/ not tight enough), and that would cause the oil boiling..
thoughts on this please!
