HPX MAF is a direct replacement, correct?

mainly:

1- disconnect the negative lead (battery)
2- remove the stock maf
3- install hpx maf
4- put the negatove lead back on

+1 it fits the OEM bung fine. As others have said, your car need to be tuned to use it though.

o btw, ECU threw a SES "P2A00".. it's to do with the O2 sensor, but not sure if the sensor itself is malfunctioning or something else triggering it.

Hold on...So your tuner tuned your car without MAF sensor? So which just tune with osiris? If that it is...i take it back about huge leak...I have feeling that it is the sensor.

And code, if tuner knows how to fully control osiris, you shouldn't have any problem after retune.

Opps, sorry I was little rush when I wrote last post. First dyno tuned, you mention you making really low whp I was asking if that's done without HPX sensor.

we didn't do dyno tune.. but we did a dyno run without HPX sensor. and yes, i was getting low HP (15whp max).

but again, the MAF maxed out @ 5400 rpm, and i don't think 15whp is good for just to 5400 rpm.

i'm waiting for Vince to send me the HPX.. hopefully i get it by end of this week so i can start tuning the car again.

Update...

mechanic done a boost leak test, and it was holding upto 13psi. (i wasn't present to witness).

he also replaced the belt with a shorter one.

on my way back home, i noticed the boost looks ready at half throttle.. i stepped on the gas and saw upto 4psi at 4500 rpm on 3rd gear. i didn't wanna shift past 5000 rpm because that's where the MAF max out.

i'm not sure if i should notice any difference before a tune.

thoughts?

you wont notice any difference in boost levels before or after the tune.

4 psi at 4500 rpm sounds normal
