Update...

ordered a shorter belt, which should eliminate any belt slippage (if any). even tho i haven't noticed it slipping, and i can't find any evidence that it does, but i'm feeling because it isn't as tight as it suppose to be (even tho the tensioner is at its max), i think this could be a factor that i'm losing boost.

ETA: approx. 10 days (aramex are as slow as it can be when you want something urgently)

flashed a new map (got it from Vince "RT/Tuning")

felt a little difference (not much), boost is building up faster (at lower rpm) but it didn't go past 5-6psi (which is about the same), AFR is on the rich side (i've seen 10) and AEM UEGO doesn't read below that.

did couple of datalogging.. on that map.

IAT = 42c to a maximum of 54c
MAF = 5.08v (maxing out)
AFR = goes as rich as 10.95
Coolant temp = between 90c to a maximum of 92c

Been back and forth with Vince, he sent me another map to try.. i tried it but couldn't do datalogging because the laptop battery decided to play dead after all my runs.

anyways, it seems like the AFR is moderate (i haven't seen it go below 10), but again it's probably because i didn't push it too much. boost is still the same (5-6psi).

I need the following parts now:

- a fuel pressure regulator (since i don't have the FMU)
- an RFS.
- a BPV to replace the stock one.
- HPX MAF
- Walbro installation kit (my installation kit got missing on delivery).

I don't have much time to do a research now, and would really love to have recommendations..

many thanks

intake temps are 129* F. that's nothing.

you said 10.9 somethign was your richest a/f. Don't worry about your richest, worry about your leanest. for testing purposes you should stay around 11 right now. Don't worry about being high 11's since you are just "testing". Keep it at 11.

Don't run it past maf voltage. It's maxing, car will freak, bad things will happen. Could dump fuel, could cut fuel....never know.

FPR will come in a return system. You don't need it if you have 600's and walbro anyways but it's nice to have.

why do you need a new BPV? stock works perfect unless it's broken.

i don't even know what a walbro install kit is. I bought a walbro pump and just put it in. Only other thing i purchased was the main fuel tank oring since they expand when you get fuel on them. There are no other parts you need inside that tank except the walbro.

and the fact that your boost is building faster now has nothing to do with the tune. Boost is rpm dependant so it has to be mechanically at the blower or the belt. If it was something broken in teh blower i wouldn't see boost ever coming back. If it was the belt, depending on the heat of the day, etc, the belt might slip more or less so you could gain more boost on a specific day.

thanks binder..

we have a saying that goes: if you wrap your hand with a band-aid, everyone will prescribe you a medicine.

meaning, by just describing what i'm facing, ppl jump into conclusions and give out solutions without even knowing what's under the hood.

however..

the mechanic suggested that i change the BPV (because everyone does), and his reasoning was that it doesn't hold boost.

RFS is well worth the money, even with my setup. just like you said, something good to have.

walbro installation kit is basically a harness that can hold more voltage than stock, and can withstand more heat (if any).

just like i mentioned earlier, even tho i'm seeing boost (5-6psi @ wot), on the dyno the car didn't pull more than 15whp on top of stock form.

there must be something seriously wrong with the car..

i can't figure it out!!!

let's assume i change the belt, boost gets adjusted and see 10psi, i'm sure i won't see more than 50whp extra, which is nothing compared to what's expected out of this kit outa the box.

i know!

it doesn't make all the sense to change it, because everyone is running fine with it.

i just thought fine, if he thinks that would be one the reasons i'm not getting boost, i'll change it and get greddy type-s BOV.

does an exhaust leak (Borla H-pipe) affect boost? or it shouldn't?

i'm assuming it shouldn't.

unfair race if you ask me.. because i don't have anything within reach.

stock did 210whp.. with the kit i got 225whp.
