Vas did you heatwrap all your pipings? That might help with the spool. I ordered some ebay headers and heat wrap. The sts guys use the heatwrapping to help spool up and prevent heatloss going to the turbine. Good luck at the tuners tomorow. I'm out of state handlin some family issues that came up a few weeks ago if not I wouldof been there beasting takin vids and pics.

i have my headers wrapped but only to reduce temps in the engine bay. I probably wo'nt wrap the rest of them though.
the smell goes away after a while vas. did you use silicone sealant on them? mine smoked and stunk for about a week.

The exhaust length from header to turbine is coparable to the top mount turbo kits. Crossover is the same, and then my pipes run to the back where the top mount pipes run to the front. I measured this once, and the distance is the same, I think my are a bit shorter, but who is really going to care...
The advantage is piping after the turbo. With the top mount you run the exhaust the entire lenght of the car, where with this set up it is only half that.

... but yeah lol.. when the kit is all put together... people will be VERY surprised at how short the length of the piping is. no where near!!! the sts... I bet my money its shorter than the top mounts.

and nice setup. I saw your sig but didn't know you made a thread. Jealous jealous...
