nice.. So you also solved the boost issue on 1st and 2nd gear? I thought the HKS is louder than the Tial but that video wasnt really that loud. My Tial is loud at WOT and shifting above 4000rpm.

yeah it picks up much better now.. I do get some fluttering with the HKS.. but Im gonna ask vince to go over it and get his opinion on that...
Ive seen other turbonetics and twinturbos with the a single HKS and it definitely is louder.. but like I said we will go over it again
Have to order a new clutch now too and up the ante to 1600cc injectors. Looking forward to posting my dyno results and build sheet.
1600cc? you should talk to larry at SP about tuning with e85. I'm only running a twin pump and 1000's. Unless you are going to do over 700hp 1600's are overkill.

it would be hard to compare since tq will come on sooner and it will be higher.
sasha, good to know, i'm pumped. do what you need to make that intake fit!!

The reason for no boost in the first couple of gears were the exhaust leaks. Because the gears are so short, you can not build up enough pressure/flow for the turbo to spool. With 3rd + gears being longer, there is enought time for the exhaust flow to over come the leaks and build boost.

This is my dyno on 8.2psi of boost with the smaller T3 6162 turbo, tuned by me with conservative timing:
My EBC was not set all the way to red line, so the max HP was taken at about 7.5psi. I will go back for a 9psi run with the new 6262 turbo within a couple of weeks here.

Sasha, what kind of hp/tq are you hoping to get out of the new turbo and tune on the dyno?
It depends on the boost. I think I will shoot for 9 psi, and looking at the other dyno with boost droping near the top (BC not set) I would guess 430whp??

430 whp? That's pretty high for a stock block, isn't it? Do you think you can safely run that on your motor?
All in the tune man. There where cars here running 500+whp stock block abused miles for over a year. 400 is the guesstimated threshold. 430whp should be no prob on a good tune. sasha go for 10psi why stop at 9!!! Lol j/k but maybe 1. 10psi run eh?
