I haven't seen these "limitations" you speak of. All I saw is a ProEFI and Haltech car both running to 1000+ whp with 1200cc injectors or even 1400cc even with an E85 and pump gas mix.

Utec is crap. And actually HKS Fcon is too.

Why are you comparing Utec to Haltech or ProEFI? Have you seen their price? Stick to reflash VS Utec. If you say reflash take the cake then you have no clue on what are you talking about. You're NA so yes Osiris is better than Utec but this is the FI forum and Utec definitely has it's advantage over a reflash on FI'd car. Trust me I was offered to ty Osiris before and after looking at it's manual and it's capability, Utec definitely work for me better.

Edit:
I'm sorry for the Utec vs Reflash... For the OP, it's definitely a standalone especially he's looking for more than 600whp. Do you really want a reflash at that stage that doesn’t offer any protection?

Why do you assert that an F-CON is crap? Have you used one?

For the record, an F-CON is not crap. It lacks certain features other EMSs have, most importantly in my mind traction control, but is a well proven unit. It also includes some features that the Haltech does not have, as confirmed by RCDash. Moreover, at least one person in a recent thread switched to the F-CON after having owned the Haltech, and indicated that it worked much better for him. Still, if you buy an external traction control unit, the costs can really start to add up. This may make going with the F-CON pricey, but does not make it crap.

You are right that the limiting factor is the resolution and IMO if you want to run 16psi+ then Utec won’t give you the resolution to really fine tune your car. Also the injector size limitation. You can always do a reflash to do the injector scaling. Even ttg35fort uses a reflash for little thing with his Fcon so I guess it's not taboo to combine reflash with Utec.. If you combine both then you can try the reflash to control everything below 5psi (because of the limiting factor of the stock MAF) and have Utec control anything above that. Now this will give you more resolution while taking advantage of the reflash capability to control idle and injector scaling... just my .02. The again, just add a little bit more and you can get a Haltech.. lol
That is exactly what I do...open loop at 4.5psi.

It also smooths out the open->close loop hiccup since I'm not switching to close loop single time I get into boost (only higher boost).

Also put the same map in all 3 slots so the stock ECU can't mess with timing and other **** like it always wants to.

I've been toying around this idea for over a year now. This will definitely reduce the switch over hiccup with Utec because the only way you will hit that crossover area is when you are WOT. At WOT Utec is pretty solid.
