Looks like a pretty legit setup. I think I may have heard about Precision having issues with their billet wheels? Has anyone else heard this?

nope

they put down crazy hp for the evo's and supras without problems. with as many that run them i'm sure there would be tons of info on failures. Haven't found any yet by searching their forums.

I've heard their non billet failure but haven't hear about billet yet.

Not just evo/supra makes crazy numbers, I've read pushed limit 6262 on s2k made around 700~800whp but diff motor, those motors can handle easy 20psi+ on stock block.
I believe this turbo power is there but idk if VQ can handle ton of boost to see limit of this turbo.

But very interesting to see result on vq tho. Good luck op.

vq can handle boost just like any motor if you build it right.

hal is 30+ psi, rich just did upper 30's on his 6262 twins and there are a lot that are mid-upper 20's.

Oh btw I take it back about 6262&s2k, I looked again and it was 6265@around 31-32psi.

ya, slightly larger exducer so it'll put down more top end power. Doesn't really change the ability to take higher psi though. The billet wheel compressors have shown to do extremely well with high psi.

Well, today was another day in the garage. I figured, a large turbo should have a larger intake:

4" to 3.5" reducer 90:

See what kind of an air filter we can fit here:

And still good on clearance:

I should also mention that the T4 flanges will be changed from taped to drilled. This will make the install/removal of the turbo easier, because the trubine does not need to be seperated from the CHRA. Just 4 bolts/nuts/lock washers.

My flange was taped, so I just drilled the threads out. Works great now.

Without a doubt a good looking kit. Props on the first true t4 large turbo avaliable in the market for the z. I'm planning to keep my redline a bit below or exactly at 8krpms. This kit should definetly make the highest powered s.t kit on pump gas.

so a gt4088 is pretty much identical except when swapped with a 6765 billet on the same supra it produces more power up top but same curve. Taking that into account i had to use the gt4088 to do my compressor map.

For my engine.

.43 bsfc
8k redline
7800 peak power (it was producing peak just slight of peak due to my ported heads/cams)
11.5 afr
1.5psi loss for intercooler
estimation of 4700rpm full spool

says 20.1 psi and 2.43 pressure ratio
oh ya, calculated for 800hp so that would be 704hp at the wheels.

looks like it should be decent enough for me.
