That's awesome..the lack of grinding is key.

Someone over there did a good job grinding mine down to fit the FastIntentions exhaust - there are apparently some spots I didn't realize had been ground down.

The motordyne piping doesn't even come close.

Precise machining.

Raj, why did you not choose to buy the solid SPL differential mounts instead or in tandem?

From the picture that he posted it doesn’t look like his factory mount is in bad shape at all…from a few other auto G’s I’ve seen they don’t seem to wear out nearly as fast as they do on 6-speed cars (not sure though). So, he might not have needed to replace it at this point and the Injected brace might help prolong its life and just provide more support for the differential.

I’ve had the Injected brace on my car for a few months now and I’ll say this, I didn’t notice a difference at all, it’s no substitute for the solid bushing, you’ll still need to replace it if it’s worn. I figure its additional bracing though.

This was easy and my mounts/bushings seem ok. It's hot to be working outside, ya' know?

and doing that solid busing is no walk in the park! not something you just decide to do for fun.

That's what i figured but just wanted to make sure. I have the SPL mounts and was thinking about getting this as well, but I doubt that I will see much or any improvements, but for $150 it's a bargain and good piece of mind.

Yeah I know what you mean...here in Fresno it was 100F+ and in the garage it was baking.

BTW, I see you have the MD V2. After trying the Nova and V2, I also ended up with the latter. Thanks for that good write up last time.

I think this piece is slightly different than the solid mount because it distributes the load to another point.

Thanks Raj for posting that, and Injected Performance for making it. OK, one more thing to buy.

Anyone experiencing a clicking noise under acceleration? I notice it from a stand still to 15 mph. I hear 3-4 clicks/knocks. Like something is hitting. Very weird! Sometimes hear one knock in 2nd or 3rd gear.

Only changes I made to the car today were the diff brace & sway bars. Maybe the rain rinsed some of the bushing grease off. Road conditions are extremely wet to say the least. I'll have to look into it later this week. Just fishing for ideas.

The clicking after raining is likely your other suspension ball joints. Get some teflon spray or lithium grease and I bet it'll fix it. If you have the stock rear endlinks - the new stress placed on it by the sway bar may be the issue also - was a TSB for this for early model years. Dealer replaced mine for me when I first put on Stillen sways. Didn't think it was still an issue for newer cars...

^ yes try this first and let us know... the only time we have heard of the diff brace causing noises were when exhaust systems were hitting them on shifts...

Its most noticeable in 1st gear from a stand still. Leaving a light or stop sign. I suspect its the sway bars. The car only has 10 kmi on it so I doubt its a bad end link. I suspect they didn't grease the bushings enough. But damn its a scary sound whenever torque is exerted.

There was no noise till after install of both the sways & the diff brace. So it's one or the other. lol It's gotta be the sways. I'll try to get it on a lift later today and check it out.

Thanks

It sounds like axle click to me, its a pretty common problem. My car does it.

It's not axle click/clunk, it's not sway bar related, not exhaust related, not end link related.

I will PM my findings to Injected Performance.

Well i mean since you basically said its something to do with the Injected Brace why not just say? And let Injected address it publicly for those of us who are also running this brace, myself included.
