Thumbs up Injected Performance has something for folks with Nismo rear diff covers!

Perfect fit. Easy install. Hardware included. No problem changing diff fluid with this installed (I did it).

Thanks for listening to customer feedback and coming out with a great product guys, even if there are only a relative few of us!

I think there should be a product announcement thread soon but thought I'd give y'all a preview on my car.

It looks like you still need to grind down the passenger side of the diff cover? compared to the one on the driver side.

I still got the original one uninstalled I wonder if I could swap it out but if I still have to grind down then it doesn't make a difference.

op, can you take side profile pics??? maybe holding up a ruler to check if it will clear GT spec rear brace that passes through there?

No grinding. This is all bolt on - literally a 5 min install once you get under the car. The only little spot of difficulty was trying to get a torque wrench on the higher of the two bolts on the diff - had to just use a crescent wrench as I was too lazy to remove the exhaust piping...

Car is still up on jack stands so putting a ruler up there would be no problem. Can you specify what the tight dimension would be or post up a pic of the rear brace?

I don't think it will clear.
If you look at where the bracket bends it's pretty tight to the subframe

Hmmm - I don't think so either, but I'll take a side shot and post it tonight.

Raj - Thanks for the pictures again! I can save you the trouble on checking the side clearance.

We have a GT Spec tie bar on the shelf and can acknowledge that it does not fit with our differential brace - neither the standard version or this new Nismo-compatible version. However, I can assure anyone interested that our brace is creating more of an improvement than what the GT Spec tie bar offers.

The standard diff braces (for OEM housing) are on the shelf and readily available to ship. The Nismo versions are being powdercoated currently and will be available very shortly. Please contact us if you are interested in either.

you dont really notice it if your bushings are in good condition. I have about 120 passes on mine. Check the product announcement thread for other opinions though

Its a rear diff brace. Since the rear diff is only supported by that rear bushing, this adds more stiffness so you rear bushing doesnt tear. People claim it reduces wheel hop, but proper driving reduces wheel hop.

It also adds another point of support to the dif, minimizing the chance of snapping the 1 mount off. This applies primarily to higher power vehicles that are launching the car.

rcdash, thanks for the review and pics! Enjoy!

Car is still on jack stands - haven't driven it and don't know that I'd feel a difference??? But we'll see - hopefully this weekend. Have had the car on jack stands for a week changing all the fluids after zdayz - and right now deciding what to do to resolve a fuel pressure issue under boost (deciding if I need to upgrade from a stage 1 (stock) to stage 2 (cjm) hard line while the car is up).

You know I should add that a long time ago, FP had to grind my cover a bit to get the FastIntentions exhaust to fit. Not sure if that is why my rear diff looks different than 04G35tt's... Didn't realize they had grinded the short fins on the passenger side that are missing on mine below the bolt.

The GTSpec bar serves a different purpose than yours. The GTSpec rear bar definately makes a difference in helping the suspension do work. Your support bar will prevent hopping. Am I right?
