Here at the shop we have been working non stop to produce some turbo kits for a few different line of cars. One that we are working on now is a single turbo kit for the 350z's. its heart of it will be a gt4088 with a .95 ar. its basically a low mount setup. finalizing all pipes today. intercooler was finalized yesterday. below is some pics of some fabrication we have done so far! as stated, we will be updating this thread forever!

What do you mean by low mount setup? Something similar to that of the APS ST kit? What would be really sweet is to make a setup that locates the turbo near the front bumper in the area between the bumper and the wheel well on the drivers side. There was a DIY that someone a while back was doing like this....

Manifold work looks great. Love the GT-R collectors.

Quick question: Any particular reason for choosing a 4088R for the single VQ35 kit? (From personal experience - *Although not on a VQ35* - I've never really been happy or impressed with any 4088R in the real world, not on paper this comp map vs that map).

IMO, there are other Garrett and BorgWarner choices which in my experience have proven to be more efficient, provide more power and faster spool for power range, or only slightly slower(in some cases negligible) pickup for a much broader power range (EX: TO4Z, 4094, T4S366-74 etc over a 4088R).

Regardless, kit looks great and has a ton of potential. And a lot of the Garrets are frame interchangeable anyway. Goodluck. In for first numbers!

decided on the 4088 just due to the size of the turbo and knowing that we can spool it. its a t4 divided with twin wastegates. our powerband we are looking for is from 4200-5100 to 7200-7600. customer wanted something that was different from everyone else but at a great price. if it doesnt spool the way we want it to, we will go smaller on the exhaust housing

HR owners, looking for a HR to actually do r and d on to create a single turbo kit! pm me or call the shop for details.

turbo actually sits next to the trans underneath the passenger side. we will take pics once everything is finalized

That is a tight fit, looking forward to the pictures/creativity. I am guessing that you have an E compressor cover on the turbo as well do to the room.

Sounds like a mirror image of the APS ST kit.

For spool issues why not consider using the SP quick spool valve? Timre frame on when pics will be up?

^no reason to do that when you have a true twin scroll manifold.

I'd take the twin scroll over the single manifold everyday for a big single.

aps st kit is actually mounted underneath the driverside. def, way different from the aps single kit. turbowerx scavenge pump is used on our kit. We just had a problematic aps single leave our shop today. the base pump was changed out for a weldon pump that ended up failing. we ended up installing the turbowerx pump and works like a champ. no smoking whatsoever. its a damn tight fit but it doesnt have any ground clearence issues. the bottom of the turbo actually sits flush with the front underbrace. ran out of 2 inch pipe for the ic setup today. gonna have to wait til monday or tuesday to button up the cold side. will be dropping the motor tomorrow to finalize fitment of the turbo and primaries. also def. not like the bp kit.

We will be starting our twin kit for a g35 in about two weeks. twin borg warner k27 3072's.

When I said mirror image, I meant simillar just on the opposite (mirror) side of the transmission. on the Turbowerks scavenge pump, that is what I use. Well build unit.

When we were doing R&D on our HR, that's where we ended up deciding the best place was.
