your right exhaust bank gases have to travel much further than the left right? why didnt you just come straight back then down to the turbo?

What I like is they have a good fab guy.... Love the way he welds.... He acts like it's art.... Well I guess it is...... Can't wait to see the finished product.

went with this design due to the amount of room we didnt have on the passenger side due to turbo placement. we are sure the exhaust pulses will be a little delayed on the passenger side bank but will tune for it due to running the haltech and having individual trim on ign and fueling side.

str8dum1......yes to bolting the black brace back up. enough clearence for an intake box around the filter. we are gonna be running ducting from the front of the car to the filter itself. thanks for the kind words!

Mr. XKR......collin is a bad ***. he is really good at what he does. we are happy to have him here working with us.

collin is actually welding up the manifold as we speak. back purging all welds. jig has been made already. one whole runner is done as of now. test fitting it then gonna weld the other runner up, then marking for the wg placements and then finishing up on ic piping. we are wrapping the whole manifold when we are done. stay tuned for numbers and pictures!

a lot of shops list fabrication as skill....lol , i guess they mean they can bogger weld and use the machine, but nothing about actual quality fabrication that comes clean time and time again.....so it looks like jtran/collin knows fabrication.

Subscribed... I inquired Jtran about the Power Labs kit back before the whole pump gas limits shakedown.... this thread has definitely grabbed my attention. Might have to take the car down from DFW if the #'s and $$ look right...

look forward to seeing more...

besides the none sense, much of that issue was about the turbo...swapping to a having a bigger one will get more power.....simple as that(if you are looking for 580 on pump).....there are just other factors to consider too... so its the same thing with this kit... the location might have room for a differences, so make sure you pick the turbo that suits you best
Also jtran can probably ship you their kit, DIYs always have a special reward

we can use and mock up any size turbo you want, as far as its not a bw s595 or some crazy larger frame turbo. here is a pic of the actual manifold welded up. still have to sand everything down and polish it up. no we dont sand on the welds, just wanna beautify the pipes before final pics are taken.

Also probably to avoid the efficiency drop at higher boost and RPM that has plagued some turbo kits in the past. We've run 4088's on 4 cylinder 2.2 liter engines and it's a top end monster but still a "reasonable" midrange. With 3.5L's pushing the snail she should spool up reasonable well, I would think.

Good work guys!

i believe they will be heat wrapping the piping to help with that issue ... if it is one ill let Johnny fill in that later when he gets a chance

thanks for the kind words shariff!

as far as overheating the trans, def. wont be a factor. we are heat wrapping the pipes. we were gonna go ahead and get them polydyne coated but decided against it due to the fact we have used them on a previous build and it didnt seem to make a difference. we are actually polishing up all the pipes today. making the downpipe, wg dump tubes, rest of the ic piping just showed up. gonna try and get it on the dyno by thursday or friday for preliminary runs before we do the fuel system. itching to see how the spool up and numbers are. gonna be pushing wastegate boost which is set at 1 bar. we will be doing video and also posting up final pics after completion on the dyno.

agreed, ...good to know you are not so concerned about "lag" that much anymore after trying out some 4088s on a 4 cylinder... i know before you "worried" about the lag even on 35r on the vq

so question, how easily will it be to snake that pipe over the trans without unbolting the transmission? first look appears that it will take some work but then again i've never tried so idk how hard it would be. I just know it's a PITA to get my hands up to even tighten the top 2 trans bolts so i'm only imagining how this would go.

and i truthfuly don't think this will create too much heat inside that trans unless the car is sitting still. There is a good amount of airflow moving under the car when driving that it should be ok even without heat wrap.
