thanks guys! dropping the motor as of tomorrow morning to tack everything else together and after that, we should be done with the exhaust side! pretty simple setup! this kit will be produced and sold for a pretty decent price. options will be available as far as turbo sizing. all kits will have the twin tial mvr 44mm, single tial 50mm bov, big ic, piping, scavenge pump, all lines and fittings and dp to mate up to the stock mid pipe!
cant wait to see what my baby does very exited about this build, everyone at Jtran has been awesome and I recommend everyone to try their shop.... Ill be going tomorrow guys cant wait to see progress!!!!

How do you get stainless welds to have that nice rainbow color? I have tried a bunch of different things and I always backpurge but they still come out gray in color.

The gray is oxidation. It has a lot to do with the type of gas, the type of cup, and the amperage setting on the welder.

show us what you have going on at the moment at least! give us a tease of the turbo mounting while you finish the cold side.
rich: i think an issue that could arise with running a quick spool on this is space. He already said it was tight and by the sounds of where it's located that would be hard to fit. Not only is the thing 3/4" thick, you have to worry about the acuator sticking off of it.
the quick spool is just a turns a single manifold into a twin scroll more or less without the need for 2 wastegates. You have to have a twin scroll turbo to use the quick spool valve.
There is no reason for a quick spool since the JTran setup is already a true twin scroll.

def secret is in the settings of the welder, cup side, type of tungsten used. its pretty amazing how my fabricator does his thing.
