Not yet. Just thinking ahead . I'm not sure how big the K&N filters are but they might fit.

Let me know if you try to fit something different. I asked about the different motor mounts. They didnt hear of a different mount that would lower the motor some. I might have some new intake pipes designed in order to fit the strut bar back on.

Let us know on the intake pipes. I have been asking GTM about this issue for a while now but they seem a little too tied up at the moment. I couldnt understand if they were for sale now or what the issue may be. I was originally told i could trade my pipes in for the new ones or get a redesigned strut bar. And 1.5yrs later ...

What is the redesigned strut bar? I was thinking to use the stock strut bar mounts and have a new bar fabricaed. The guys who are doing my build do pipe work all the time. They can buy mandrel tubing to fabricate it.
How is the overall handling of the car without the strut bar? Putting so much into my suspension, I'm a little "T" off that I don't have a strut bar any longer.

Well thats exactly it. Im pretty hardcore on believing that a lot factory parts such as the strut bar serve a purpose and it irritated me that i may have had to re-fabricate a new bar and not know how it will work.
As for handling, it isnt a drastic change but it feels a little sloppy.
There are 50 sets of redesigned pipes at GTM but money was put into them so im guessing they are not going to be let go of for free. At this point im willing to pay.

I'm also assuming this is for a GTM kit and not a Greddy kit? The car was sloppy enough before and I have dumped thousands into my suspension!

you got rid of your bumper brace. Thats contributes WAY more to front end stiffness than a 1" strut bar. You basically got rid of a piece that that ties to the 2 frame rails together.

you should be more pissed about that.

good deal

fabbing a strut bar will be much easier. You should have them do that as well! If they made a jig, they could sell it as well

It's easier said than done. My guy CAN do it. It's a matter of actually pushing him to get it done. Money always works though.. LOL

Yup and i was. I had no idea it was being removed and was completely oblivious to the pictures of the set up and god knows why i didnt ask.

But i am going to have a brace fabricated while doing my build and if by then i do not have new pipes i will have a redesigned strut bar.

I have a friend that works for a Lexus dealership. The impact bumpers off the new cars are fairly simple aluminum designs. Might be able to adapt one of those for a lightweight solution?

Looks great so far except a few issues with the ordered parts. Subscribed.

Well a minor snag in the mix. They were installing the Greddy ultimate and found that one of the adaptors is missing(plugs into the harness). Now I need to wait till Monday..

Going to the shop today--ALL DAY! We received the parts missing from the Management. Tee new oil cooler lines should be here today. FYI--Mishimoto lines are GARBAGE! They leaked after 5 minutes of running the car! Hopefully I'll have the car back tomorrow. 3 week wait

Hell no! I'm sure they will want to. I like to detail my own car! I'm only running 6.5 lbs of boost for now. Hopefully this weekend I can get it on a dyno. For now, I will be happy driving it out of the shop and home..
