Smile 03 z with supercharger, wondering what oil you guys use?

I just got this supercharger on and was wondering what oil to use. I searched the forum but didn't come up with much.

Someone said dont use fully synthetic? Wondering why Since its supposed to be better.

Was wondering what weight, brand, normal or synthetic.

Whatever helps the car and supercharger both I guess.

I like Mobil 1 oil but open to others

According to the thread the guy posted, I got Mobil1 15w-50 fully synthetic.

Its all walmart had as for anything good, says for high performance.

Thanks for the replies.

I dont even know why people post negative replies, it wastes their own time lol. Not everyone lives on the forum. Give it a rest. Guess it makes them feel cool

Mobil1 is a good brand, whats the difference in brands?

Its like buying Advil, which is Ibuprofen, and generic Ibuprofen, its the same thing diff name, but cheaper.

I dunno, this should be ok since I never really beat my car.

Difference is shown if you do some searching and look at teh independent tests that have been done between the brands....

I use the 0w40 since it has been proven superior and i have even talked to a Mobil one rep and he said the 0w40 European blend is a completely different formula then the other weights wich is why the other ones vary so little and dont come close to it in testing.

Id think the difference would be so minuscule during normal daily driving. Seems this would only come into play on the track and extreme driving conditions for an extended period of time.

I dont beat my car, I do step on it now and then, but would the small difference even matter in that sort of driving? I just want my car to last.

If you are changing your oil 2500-3000 miles and only street driven and never beating it no you prob will not notice a difference. But the cost is the same.... sooooo... the next time you do your oil change just switch to the better one,(0w40) running it(15w30) for one interval will not hurt you.

I run Amsoil 5w-30.

Lots of thread on this subject if you search. Make sure to do frequent, regular changes no matter what oil you use.

Thanks for the replies. Ive either seen oil thread with highly built cars or stock cars.

Nothing really in between. So this is helpful to me.
