Nice numbers on low boost.. How r u liking the ProEFI? That system is almost as much as the turbo kit itself!
It’s awesome, I’m so glad I went with the ProEFI…being in AZ I was even able to have Jason Siebels tune the car! We’re going to be doing some fine-tuning early next week hopefully, but otherwise I don’t have a single thing to complain about. My brother has actually been running ProEFI on his stock block PowerLab GT35R 350Z for about 2 years now, that’s one of the main reasons I opted for the ProEFI too.

Also, the pricing is actually very competitive; you should give them a call and see what sort of pricing they can work out. When I bought my ProEFI kit back in June they had a promo going on and the Pro48 kit including the ProEFI Pro48 ECU, G35 plug and play wiring harness, Can gauge, and 5bar map sensor was around $1,800. Worth every penny IMO.

Yeah, I purchased directly from ProEFI in Scottsdale, AZ.
And while we’re talking about value…I’m not buying any additional gauges as the ProEFI can gauge displays nearly everything; so, I saved a grip by not have to drop another $500 or so on a few gauges. And after I get the solenoid and switch I’ll have a boost controller too…maybe see if we can activate traction control too!

What EMS are you currently running?

nah, i run the stock bumper on my g and my intake temps during cruise are only 7-9 deg above ambient. It was 97 outside and i did a few pulls, AIT's went up to 130's after a 2-3-4 gear pull and they dropped back down to normal cruise temps within 5 seconds of letting off the gas. It helps to have a nice huge intercooler from bp. Even with it being almost entirely blocked it gets plenty of air. Thom runs a stock front on his 800hp monster also.

elperuano, where are you from? i've looked into the k2 remix since it's suppose to have stock ground clearance. I want stock ground clearance on mine so i haven't put an open front on yet. I love my sleeper looking car though :/

thatv35, the pro48 does traction control? i thought that was one of the features that it wouldn't do and only the 128 would do.

nevermind, it was the clutch slip that the 48 wouldn't do not the traction control. I knew it was someting to do with slipping...lol

Currently using the Haltech I like the haltech n it does everything ive asked... I still cant figure out how to use the damn thing though... i'd rather not mess around wit it n screw up my tune but i just really do the basic datalogging.. but it displays everything else.. I use gauges so that I can see them displayed on my dash n console n stuff... i could just always carry my laptop around n use that to monitor but eeeh i like gauges

Im in davie florida weather down here gets HOT but worst of all it gets HUMID.. My temps arent crazy neither.. Ive never had a single overheating issue and like I said im using the 06 sports bumper. Im goin with k2 just to try it out n see how it looks... Gonna do like a home-made lip for it to give it a lil more low appearance.. Im slammed so I figured this might help alleviate some of the scrape my front bumper takes.. Plus the extra air my giant IC will see cant hurt neither

Threw a quick video together the other night, car felt sluggish again…in the first clip, I started off in 1st gear and cut at just over 100 mph at the top of 4th gear. Based off the factory gear ratios the top of 4th gear should have taken me to 115 – 117 mph…I think the clutch is slipping pretty bad…

RPM 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th

6200 37 60 86 109 139 175
6300 37 61 87 111 141 178
6400 38 62 88 113 144 181
6500 38 63 90 115 146 184

Feels heavy from the video.. lol Jk . I think u need to up the boost. I drive around with my TN setup at 5lbs, it made 342hp/330tq. Turning it up to 9lbs 424/420 is like a whole different car. Im thinking about getting that kit and im anxious to see what it makes at only 7lbs.

What happened with your smoke issues? What is are your oil levels like? Are you getting excessive blow-by? Are you sure your rings/engine is undamaged?

Do you have any engine bay pictures?

I actually took the car back to the dyno 2 weeks ago as I noticed I was running overly rich (based on the AFR) and it turned out the car was running richer than it should have been (my fault as I made a few adjustments trying to tune some hesitation out). So while it was at ProEFI they re-tuned the car and it made 360 whp.

I’m still getting some blow by but the oil levels have been acceptable IMO, I’ve had to pour in just over a quart since I boosted the car about 3,000 miles ago. I’ll be changing the oil later this month, I’ll snap a few shots of the bay then (haven’t taken many pictures since it’s a bit of a mess).

I was actually wondering if anyone noticed that when I red-lined 4th gear I was only at about 100 – 105 mph tops. Based on the factory gearing I should have been at 114 or so mph. Clear sign of clutch slip or something else going on?

Yeah, I know what you mean, lol. It really felt like something was holding it back. Based on the RPM and MPH I finished 4th gear I think it’s the clutch (original clutch with 90k+ miles on it)…

Once I swap out the clutch I’ll be picking up the ProEFI boost controller to increase the boost to a steady 6 psi.

Does the powerlab air filter sit by the wheelwell on the g as opposed to above the area where the crash bar would be on the z?

Yeah, the filter sits just a little higher than where the filter on my Injen CAI sat.
