damn...and i was hoping this high pressure radiator cap was going to help, but doesn't sound like it did much for you red. i think my next step will be to somehow fit a larger reservoir and see if that does anything.

I managed to put in a bigger resort our then what my powerlab turbo comes with but I'm still having the same issue. After about 15-20 min idling the coolant will sstart boiling in my spill free funnel and start to overflow it. I don't know what could be the cause of my problem

Im having the biggest problem trying to get the air out. Also I'm having a reddish brown sludge build up in the hoses and resorvoir, I'm hopping it's not a head gasket and that it's just clogged but I don't know where this sludge is coming from, any ideas? My car starts overheating at idle but not when it's moving

What's the best way to bleed the system of air, I have the spill free funnel but after about 10-15 min the coolant starts boiling and I have to shut off the car to stop it from from spilling everywhere, do I have to open the bleeder valve

I never had coolant spill out of the spill free funnel.
You fill the funnel halfway it gets lower you keep it filling it up.
you never let it get low enough to reintroduce air into the system but you don't have to fill to the top either

i bled my car last night and didn't jack it up and was able to get it bled enough to where my temp needle was rock solid at the normal mark after a handful of 2nd and 3rd gear pulls.
just fill the funnel not quite half way and you shouldn't have any spilling out on you.

when i did mine i never fill it up no more then a third of the way and it always spills out. I dont mean i slight spill either i mean the coolant is literally boiling out. it almost looks like a wave pool inside the funnel. i could have easily lost 2-3 quarts of coolant when this happens which forces me to turn the car off. I'm going to record what happens to my car with the spill free and see if i can post it.

that can happen the first time you bleed the system after a drain/refill, but shouldn't keep happening provided you aren't letting air get back into the system when you remove the funnel.
are you letting the engine cool fully with the funnel still in place (make sure the funnel doesn't run dry) before starting the car up again for another round of bleeding?
