Default method of tuning for TT?

I am in the process of getting a JWT TT kit with 255l walbro and upgraded injectors(possibly)

I am looking into emanage ultimate, osiris(if it can be done by mail) at the moment.

I dont have the money to spend on a standalone and I have had a bad experience with utec before so I am looking into other options.

im leaning more towards the emanage ultimate right now.

any input?

well if you want the method of tuning where you don't blow your **** up then don't go with the emanage. I would deffinitely go with the osiris but would try to get it dyno tuned.

yea i figured that but we are just limited by what people here can tune. there is an osiris tuner here but ive heard his tuning isnt the best.

Do you have money to replace the motor if it blows up?? If the answer is yes.... Then you have money for a Utec and a plane ticket for s good tuner to fly over there!!

You are in a location where any good tuner would be happy to come to!!!

probably going to end up going utec at this point. Also I thought the main problem with emanage is that it cannot control the ecu in closed loop mode?

Its archaic in a way, but the UTEC gets the job done for a relativity low price. I'm sure you will be happy, even with its quirks. Just don't run anything larger than say a 600cc injector.

you're kidding right? The emanage has proven itself to be worthless. There is not comparison to even the lowly utec.

The UTEC actually does ALOT for the money -- you would be VERY hard pressed to blow up a motor with a competent tune on a UTEC.

Stuff on the UTEC like active knock control, overboost cut, full open loop timing/fuel control is typically only found on high end full standalone EMS.

On what car will this be going on? I ask because of your name (VQ30), cefiro, maxima,..?

If money is an issue, then go with the EU. I have always been using it, from the Emanage Blue to the Ultimate, no complaints at all and no issues, full timing control, full fuel injector control(except for changing their firing order, such as batch fire, etc..), a crap load of useful features, logging, you name it, it has it. Ofcourse being able to build your own tables via a standalone is great and also some of those have built in knock control, EU dosnt. My tuning devices are EU and J&S. As for my setup, its a built vq35, single turbo at 15-17psi with meth and occasional spray.

Perhaps I have missed something, where did you find your facts about EU proving itself to be worthless? This has been covered many times on here, and conclusion is that emanage got a bad rep when people were installing them on FI setups without timing control(harness), then automatically people assume its the device and not the tuner. I am not saying EU is the best thing out nor is it better than others such as utec or others, but it does not mean its crap. No matter what device your using, its all about the tuner.

Are you going to ask all of the same questions on both G35 driver and here?

Looks like you have about five threads going between the two forums!?! One thread on each forum would probobly work fine, the FI sections are not very tolarant although if you don't annoy everyone they can be very helpful.

yeah its old, just wanted to show some evidence to back up the EU, so people stop bashing the poor thing lol. If your broke and know what your doing when it comes to tuning EU is your friend, now if money aint an issue then ofcourse standalones and other superior devices are available.
