Default ARK Design MFD-2

So anyone have the new ARK Design MFD-2? I just sent an email over asking a few questions to them.
http://www.arkdesign-us.com/mfd2-multi-function-dash-2

Thanks for your interest in ARK Design Product. Here is some information regarding the MFD II and your 350Z.

1. Yes the unit will be able to read your factory ECU O2 Signal. The MFD II unit can also read most aftermarket wide band unit that a 0-5V Output Signal. These aftermarket units are what we use to get the most accurate reading while tuning.

2. For reading boost you will have to get the optional boost sensor that will plug right in into the black box of the MFD II.

We apologize we have some programming error on our website, this product should be in the accessories section.

Anyhow, here is the info on the Boost Sensor for the MFD II
PN # 01-0103X-00 Cost $ 89.00
I have been looking at this for while since I saw the original MDF. Any postive or negative comments about it?

Thanks

If it really reads the header 02 signals then it may be worth having...

on 2003 and the early 2004 z's we dont have WB in the cats so reading that would be useless for us.

I am always hesitant about having one single gauge to read everything.

My boost controller will read my boost and I already have a oil temp/wideband so upgrading to this wouldnt get me much.

The DashDaq has this beat I think. It can read the Innovate MTS chain, OBD-II, among others... Too bad no multifunction 52 mm gauge. PLX is a rip off with all the expensive sensor modules you have to buy just to use their multifunction gauge.

I have the MFD-I

I went with the MFD-I because i didn't want to use the OBDII port. It's pretty cool and clean.

+1, the DashDAQ is a pretty sweet little unit. I just wish one had the option to use a larger touch screen.

Here's one we installed a little while back...

que? Do you mean boost? With the optional MAP sensor installed, it reads boost perfectly, and even lets you set overboost warning tones.

LOL.. At least you understood part of it.

What I was trying to say was the calculating boost option. I guess it only works with a MAP sensor after reading the instructions. So do you get a MAP with it?

Per the instructions.
EXAMPLE: CALCULATING BOOST
Many vehicles do not provide an enhanced signal for Turbo Boost but it’s pretty easy to calculate. We’ll assume that boost is the
additional manifold pressure above normal barometric pressure (~14.7psi). For example, MAP=19.7psi minus BARO=14.7psi implies that
the turbocharger is providing BOOST=5psi. This calculation looks like:
BOOST = MAP - BARO
To perform this calculation on the DashDAQ, try setting:
• Input Signal: Manifold Absolute Pressure from GenericOBD2
• Multiplier Signal: Constant Multiplier from Rescale Signal Calculator
• Multiplier Sign: 1 (Positive)
• Constant Multiplier: 1.0
• Offset Signal: Barometric Pressure from GenericOBD2
• Offset Sign: -1 (Subtract)
The calculated value will be available when you assign signals to a gauge (section 0).
