TurboTim will have pix of the bullets entry point and also a pix of the gun soon. Because TurboTim had to pay the person doing the autopsy for this intel..... There will be a fee to all those who would wish to view it

Mr. S is still alive and kicking. He has been selling his new brake rotors on one of the 370Z forums. I guess that is his new gig. He is doing it as RA, and is a sponsor on the site. Just not sure why anyone would want to deal with him. I guess he is counting on the newbie 370Z owners not knowing any better.

I have actually seen the rear brake upgrade for the 370 it is a nice setup...seriously.
The guy I knew that had them was a member here at one time and was well aware of who he was dealing with. He said lack of options is what it came down to. He said the transaction went good and he ended up with a quality product.... but I wonder... wasn't Mr.A's dad a brake specialist??
I thought the shop he called his own was actually "Dads Brakes" or something like that.
Anyway I guess he started over and finally found a group that will trust him

Gord...MrA was one of the owners of VRT...... MrS was his junior partner and was involved in helping MrA to milk the cow ( cow being the community). After the cow ran out of milk.... MrS ran off and got a new cow milking machine named RA. MrS dad is the one that owns the brake shop. MrS does not have a shop to milk the cow out of......but he tries to trick the cows into thinking a real shop exist.
That sounds like it could be the forums official bedtime story.

+1 to the family but I've read about 100pages on Mr.S/A... there's no worse a person in this life than a thief and a liar. I personally wasnt around for this fiasco but all the members that chimed in can not be wrong so those who have sympathy for the death of someone who caused for people to loose money should really question their own belief in whats just.

I agree with everything sad about him but chinese crap....well if you look at about every rotor made besides high performance.....its chinese crap. Most of the performance market is either made in china and finished here or is from China.
*** china
*** china
I guess but compassion isn't one of my strong attributes... to me having compassion is like having a very short memory, it'll haunt you later.
LOL.I remember that.I think ultimately myself and a couple others were the nail in the coffin for VRT.We personally know of about 4 of their customers who were taken for no less then $100,000!!!! I dont regret it at all. I would do it again in a hearbeart! I never wished him any harm. I just wanted to expose a scammer.:

These are not his Megan/RA/Chinese calipers they are a two piece rotor with a spacer in the OEM caliper to allow the rotor to fit here is his description of it below. I would not do buisness with him, but before I knew who made them I looked at them I didn't examine them but the rotors looked nice and the spacer/shim looked like it was a good idea. My first impression was that I was impressed not sure why everyone gets so worked up when I say that?? Like i said I doubt he designed them considering he couldn't make a strut bar that was even close to fitting.
This is true, but Equinox is referring to our craftily designed and perfectly CNC formed caliper shim/spacer (and seals) that slightly spaces the two halves of the rear caliper apart perfectly... just enough to allow a much needed thicker, better ventilated 2 piece rear rotor to fit.
Unfortunately I have learned the hard way that this business is full of idea steelers, copy-cats, sheit talkers, and even back stabbers :shakes head:....
Needless to say, I have a lot of company & personal time and money (and favors) invested into this awesome two piece rotor design and am very proud of what we have come up with. It really took some real innovation to design and create this rotor kit, and to make it work with the Akebono calipers and improve over the stock rotors as much as they do.
With all that said, I actually was not wanting to say too much about the design and what it took to make the rear two piece rotor work with the caliper in here just yet in fear of a few potential copy-cat companies stealing the design and idea. I mean, I am sure there are probably at least a couple frustrated companies looking at this right now scratching their head and saying "why didn't we do that"? etc. I mean, honestly if you search around other forums you will see it has taken a few companies almost two years figuring out how to make the front 2 piece rotor and they still haven't figured out how to make the rear two piece work! Some companies have been promising that the front and rear two piece rotors have been coming for almost two years now. Honestly, I understand first hand now what they were up against. These were NOT an easy task.
I am proud of the solution we have. It couldn't work better.
Not necessarily...
I wouldn't bet on that :tiphat:

OK allow me to give all of you a different perspective on Mike Alvarez. I just stumbled upon your site and have no affiliation with Nissans, Infinitis, modifications, etc.
I grew up with the man you refer to as "Mr. A"
From the day I met him, at age 11, I always hated that guy. Put it to you this way: I get along with just about everyone. Other than my brother, the only person I have ever taken a swing at is Mike Alvarez. If I could describe him in one word, it would be SLEAZE....or maybe *****.
Mr A's formative years saw him smooth talkin the ladies while operating pyramid schemes in high school. He got more and more cocky and arrogant as the years went on, which I think lead him into the lucrative career of professional scam artist. I didn't know what VRT was until I started reading your forums. I do know of a couple scams he had going long ago.
I know he had kids and an ex-wife (who I think finally caught on), so it is a tragedy for them. Mike, however, took the cowardly way out when the walls started to finally close in on him.
When he died there was a huge wave of Facebook posts about his death, mostly women who remembered him as a cute guy from HS. If I hadn't de-friended him on FB (he was posting the lamest inspirational quotes daily and not taking credit for it), I would expose all that happened to your community. After his suicide was known, I shared some of my negative opinions about the guy, and I think some folks thought I was being too harsh. Then I read some posts on here and wow...I am so sorry you guys had to ever deal with him.
Truthfully, I think he had a good upbringing. The rest of his family was chill. Mike was a f*cking *** who, it seems, finally got what was coming to him - one way or another. In my view, it's not a surprise that things ended this way. If he was truly a family man, he would have put his wife and kids first. But we all know the truth now, don't we?
No love lost here, either.
Peace --
