How similar in dimensions are the dimensions in the engine bays between G35 coupes vs sedans? I know theres abit of a difference in regards to Zs vs. G's; however i'm not sure about sedans vs G coupes.
Primarily regarding single turbo kits; i see there are no manifolds utilized in single turbo kits, so i was curious as to whether a single turbo kit (BP, PL, TN (i know it's d/c), or even SFR's single turbo kit would be a direct fit onto a sedan. I have a PL kit which I'm going to be picking up a used kit from a Driver board member in October. However in my rush to secure a great deal, i didn't verify if the kit would mate up to a sedan. I contacted Darren @ PowerLab, and he informed me they haven't had any experience bolting the kit up to a sedan.
I would inquire on G35Driver, but I trust the veterans here more than there.

for example, my twin turbo setup on my sedan is a regular greddy tt (18g) kit combined with an SFR g35 dual intercooler setup.

my concern is the exhaust piping in the PowerLab system; i'm not sure if i could install this as a DIY, or if i would need to take it to Intense for the install. I've been searching and searching for undercarriage shots of the sedan vs coupe to compare the differences in exhaust layout, but i'm not having any luck; i've also been searching for undercar shots of the PL kit installed, to see if it's a direct bolt-on for a sedan, or again, if i need to take it to PowerLab for necessary modification.
although i won't mind taking it to them, i'd really want to gain the experience regarding the installation.
as i said, i spent about 20 minutes on the phone with them yesterday, but they acknowledged no experience regarding sedans.

The sedan's exhaust is totally different from the y-pipe back. Wether a Z, G, or G Sedan there all going to be the exact same untill the y-pipe. Its the mid-section and rear section thats totally different on each model. Well the muffler is the same on the G and Z....and the FX35

You will be fine on the exhaust mating up to your turbo kit. even if it weren't, it's a simple job for an exhaust shop to fix a small misalignment or flange fitment issue....but I don't think you'll have anything to worry about!

So, from the Y-pipe back, i figured the exhausts were completely different. But clearances from the engine itself, to the engine bay, are the same between the sedans and coupes?
I really hope so, as I want to gain the experience of a DIY installation.

I know for a fact there is a little more room in the sedan engine bay, me and my buddy back in the day both put crawford headers on our cars, on my Z the engine had to come out to get them on. On the sedan we were able to slip them right in showing theres more clearance in the sedans engine bay.

OK, well I found these three images after 2 hours of searching the web, LOL. It does look like the PL kit replaces the factory Y-pipe; and Y's appear the same between the PL 350z (left) and the Tanabe Y-pipe on the sedan (right). The third photo is another y-pipe from another sedan (i'm assuming this one is stock) Am I correct?
And again, assuming I am correct, the diameter of the piping throughout the kit itself will fit a sedan, since it shares the same bay as a coupe?
