Hopefully meatbag can shed some light on this, since we both have a G and the same hood. It's been a while since I've stopped by the shop and taken a look at the underside of my TS hood.
The hood has to be cut if you do the piping over the radiator. I have to cut out the hood latch area and whatnot for sure, will know for sure when it comes time to mount the hood on permanently.

There isnt as much in the G35.
I would do a 90 degree elbow behind the radiator to connect to the existing IC piping on the PL kit. I don't recall... is there any hood support structure in that area between the front timing cover and the radiator that might have to be cut?
perfect candidate for a custom Howe radiator. just make it 2 or 3" shorter.
You can use a 56mm "stock" sized rad you just have to clearence a small part.
I didnt want to loose and surface area so that is why I sectioned the end tank instead of making the entire unit smaller. And I didnt have any room to make it thicker. Plus the small part that I sectioned out allowed for a straight shot into the throttle body.

Just one small rib that runs down the centerline of the hood. You might have to cheat the cut a little but you should be fine.
ya but there arent many 1200+whp cars to make any meaningful comparisons.
big enough turbos and cams will extend your powerband out as far as you want. i made power to 8000rpm with no headwork and just c2 cams, just being carried by the turbos.
Meatbag, did you have all the head upgrades done when you originally dyno'd at 619?
Yes. internally nothing changed on the motor except for swapping out the Nismo competition oil pump.
Car is coming back from the body shop this week from having everything fitted and trimmed. Will be bringing the car back to the shop to do a race gas tune before it goes back in for paint.
