You don't have eagle rods in your 4.0 stroker engine, We do offer two type of rods one is an H beam witch is rated to 200hp per rod and an I beam rod that is rated to 350hp per rod . You do have the I beam rods in you engine, putting eagle rods in a high horse power build is straight dumb and stupid in my opinion.
Here is some pics of the Two

HHhmmm I hear the next best greatest thing for sale. I guess manley rods are the new product now. Correct me if I'm wrong, but eagle doesn't rate their rods @ wheel HP. So if you are running at 750-1000 whp doesn't that fall in line with there rating or very close to it. Just do the math. For a moderate build of 500-600's eagles are fine. Has anyone seen any long term proof of Manley rods in a VQ?

^ I love it when vendors try to sell new products. They must be getting a better deal on these rods. I've been here for a long time and have seen this same scenario play out time and time again. Most of the time it's at the consumers expense.

no 900whp is nowhere near 1500Bhp they are rated at. thats like buying a 12 pack of beer and getting 9 and saying its close enough.
This discussion is about appropriate rods for a 700+whp build ......
but ya, i'm sure Forged has sourced Manleys for a good deal as well. And considering thier pricepoint, I'd imagine they would be appropriate for the same kinda builds as the eagles, but not for high WHP setups

The Manley H-Beams are suited for the moderate power builds 500-700whp. For very high powered builds, we'd suggest either Corrillo H-Beams, Manley Turbo Tuff I-Beams, GTM I-Beams or Pauter. Our cost on the Manley's is within a few dollars literally...the decision was not made due to costs. We just got tired of the occasional defects we saw with out of the box Eagles, such as seized rod bolts and small end bushings that were not precisely finished. This would require extra steps on our part, and delays.

Rich....have you contacted Eagle to inform them that their claim is inflated?

who knows what the %loss they use it, thats why they can claim what they want with no recourse if something goes wrong..
In the end, it was a dumb move on my part to assume a $500 rodset was going to be adequate and even that was 20/20 hindsight.
Just dont want other people to make the same mistake.

Don't feel bad.....I am sure most if not all on here believed the limit of the Eagle rod was really 1500 hp.....sorry you had to be the one to prove them wrong.
On another note.....I don't care what rods I have in my motor....I would not push my car to those limits on a DD....that's why I used the DJ when going for xxxx....900 on DD is very impressive....that's around 1050whp ++ on the DJ I use.

i personally went with pauter rods... when i spun a bearing due to clearance issues they blue printed a match for me with the other rods i had for free. Believe it or not ... free.

I know Eagle's china factory as well as the different places where half the other guys get their rods. One was mentioned on this thread below. My rule of thumb is anything over 125HP per cylinder I start looking at the quality of the components. If you are on a really tight budget Eagles will "probably" be fine, but if you are pushing hard or doing a really expensive motor build I'd consider spending the money on the brands that have been around for 30 years and are charging premium prices, not the guys that started up in 2000 or 2005... In some cases you really do get what you pay for...
