I would get an uprev osiris, I have seen the utec have issues on peoples cars. I have seen many people use osiris with no issues and alot of z tuners support it. Hope it fixes it whatever route you decide to take.

sounds good. im leaning towards getting the uprev tuner. it looks really confusing and complicated to use though. i guess ill just figure it out slowly.

ive got the greddy twin turbo, 750cc rc injectors, biult block. will the uprev be able to tweak my ecu for max hp? Im just questioning the limitations of the reflash programming. im planning on running 15-20 psi. 10 psi for the daily map.

You're _far_ better off with a MAP based tune (e.g. Haltech) than a MAF based tune (e.g. Uprev) at that level of boost.

how much boost are you running with your uprev? i might just keep it at 12 psi. the haltech is way to expensive for me.

+1

I know if you buy a gtm twin turbo kit they sell the osiris and the hpx maf sensor upgrade and they seem to do fine. This is a way cheaper way then buying a haltech but if you got the money for a haltech that would also be my choice.

my friend came over with a nissan specific scanner. couldnt even read the ecm signals. guess the technosquare reflash messes with it. well, i have a used ecm coming in, and he'll do the reprogramming to stock for me. hopefully it lets my baby come back to life again.

ok, got back from my vacay a few days ago. my friend reprogrammed my new ecu and still the same thing. well at least now only 2 cylinders arent firing. so its either the engine harness, or he said even might be the maf. ill have to check the coils for the fifth time again. also which ignition system should i got with? i was looking at msd's fireball. any suggestions?

there is no need to alter your ignition system

Agreed. There is no upgraded ignition that is going to take care of your issue. There is either something wrong with the ignition drivers, a short in the harness or a grounding issue of some bizarre sort.

I never had this problem with a z but it was a common problem on hondas i worked on. Almost everytime it was a ground with a bad connection sometimes it was so bad car wouldnt start at all. If i were you i would just buy a new engine harness. slidegood.com they usually have cheap oem z parts.

thanks for all the replies, i ordered a new hpx maf and was hoping that would solve my problem. but being so hasty i didnt even think if my technosquare reflashed ecu could run the maf. anyone know if theyre compatible.

ill look up the engine harness. thatll be my last resort.

make sure the plug/ coil connectors to cly 1 & 3 are on the correct coils

they can be made to reach the incorrect coils....

i'll say no more about how i know this (but car will run, poorly, with lots of misfiring)

The signals from the HPX Pmas are totally different than a stock maf, I don't know anything baout technosquare but i know that with Osiris changing the Maf changes everything.

1-3 yes def make sure that you didnt mix up the two when plugging them in. If your harness was like mine the numbers were not on it. very easy to mix up
