Well we finally have an interesting thread going again which there are interesting topics being discussed.This kind of thing is what has been missing from the FI forums for quite awhile and i hope it comes back.

 

Quite a depressing read, but more than that, an eye opener. So many Z owners enthusiastic about their builds "to come", but everything already described in this thread seems to shoot them down half way through. And I believe the "enthusiastic" part of their ownership doesnt allow them to see that from the beginning. A must read for all visiting the FI section in my opinion.

it's probably a personal journey for people to go through. some will tire fast from their builds, others will be happy for a long time and be unheard of.. its more a testament of one's personality than anything i think. which prob means i'll get tired of the build fast ;P

I'm sick of building mine, and its finally done, and I don't plan on doing anything else to it for awhile unless its dss axles. But its true, a lot of people get halfway through, part out and call it quits, whether its money or motivation they lack it happens often

 

That is because it will bottom out at 1/4 tank. If I had it to do over I would do the Bosch 044 inline pump.

I cant stop laughing, but a part of me is crying being guilty by association with f@ggots like this. These are the same ******** that want to build custom turbo kits for less than $4000 as can be seen a few threads below.

j/k... Some ppl take their cars in a different direction than others. That's their prerogative, I'll admit it does cheapen the already failing Z.

I see a lot of brothers jumping ship n moving to other platforms as stated earlier. These cars are already boosted from the factory, hold more appeal to them.

I personally love my Z and decided to boost it based solely on the innovation and direction that others have led it to. I spent time reading, n felt that it was time to pull the trigger, while I'm a noob I didn't have unrealistic expectations n goals. I knew it was gonna be expensive but I felt that I could do anything to this car with the knowledge that's out there..

Tasteless people are always gonna exist. There are no standards so enough about this depressing shiit, how about some talk on future plans, builds, etc... This is the FI section lets here Wats going on....

About the forum being dead, there are 3 350z projects going on at my house right now (pretty sick ones..I'm not gonna let it slip till the threads) including mine, not to mention what we're doing with our z32 and s30.

theres a guy like that in my area. rolls around in a custom snakeskin painted z. the paint job is excellent, not my style though, and also was the work of the prior owner. anyways, he rolls around saying he did it, and how it has some 450hp, and hes going to supercharge it to make over 900, and how i couldve gotten about 60rwhp from this chip (and to think i spent months of research and thousands of dollars on my mods when all i needed was some chip). i asked him one time what suspension he was on (looked stock height-but he claimed nothing was stock) and he replied, "oh whatever i told my mechanic to put on there" guy is a complete tool. his most recent accomplisment was when he said that no matter what i do to my z, his will always be faster (im soon to be making over 800+), yet he wouldnt make 1 run against my "slow" 450awhp evo. i think he has intake, exhaust, and a chip..no joke.
