Default LS2 350z Turbo Stage 3? =)

Well,I guess my first post back should be about the current project.I think its finally time to step up the game a little.I was able to get into the 10s last year on bone stock suspension and bottom end while driving to and from the track. My goal this upcoming year is (while driving to and from the track) to trap 150mph. I'm not really worried about E/T since it will never run a good E/T. I also don't really care what it makes for power as long as it takes me where I want to go at the track. At that point ill just enjoy a 150mph 1/4mile daily driver. But anyways, heres my parts list:

Stock crank
Callie comp star rods with arp2000 rods
Wiseco 4.005" pistons -11cc dish
Mellings high pressure oil pump
SLP double roller timing chain
Same 228/228 cam
CNC'd 317s with PRC springs
CC hardend pushrods
83lbs injectors
Fast 102mm intake
ARP main/head studs
MLS LS9 Zr9 headgaskets
Direct port meth and or possibly some nitrous
Vacuum pump/catch can setup(to keep the crank case in constant vacuum even throughout the boost range)
Eboost 2 with twin 4-port solenoids(one for each wastegate)
ARP wheel studs
Chromoly or mild steel tube front core support(for more room to fit more ****)
im sure theres a bunch more im forgetting but ill add it as I go a long.

Im going to run up to 20lbs of boost(unless I have to go higher) until I reach my goal or blow it up. Also, im doing a complete wire tuck and engine bay smoothing(first time wish me luck) Im welding up all the unused holes and smoothing them then painting the engine bay some form of low form of low gloss black. When im done you wont see any holes and only minimal wiring(like the ones on the front of the engine.) It should give it a nice clean look.

As far as suspension goes ill be running all SPL rear suspension with Koni custom valved adjustable shocks and I havent decided what I want to do in the front but most likely some sort of coil over shock. As usual I will update with pics as I get them. Tires will be 325/40/18s

Garrett is a lazy dog...

Not much honestly. I only went to the track once last year. It was 103* out. I drove to and from on some M&H 325 drag radials, bone stock suspension, 9psi, pump gas (on stock block/heads/intake) with a HORRRRRRIBLE launch..I had to let off in first and get back in it..the run felt like a solid 11..I was pretty damn surprised when I saw the slip and the guy running over to kick me off the track. The goal this year is to drive to and from the track without switching breaking or turning a wrench on anything..and running 150mph-- on 18" drag radials.

Any idea how much power for that run?

I think you will easily hit the 150mph goal.

Maybe 600whp? It was so damn hot outside the car felt like a pig. I had the timing dialed back a bit before of the heat and since I wasn't running on race gas I didn't want to detonate my stock pistons.

That is a nice setup. I'm sure you put a good amount of money in it. I would rather do this than turboing the vq engine. This build seems very reliable, which I like.

No I am not.

While I have always respected the LS series motors, and love boost I wouldnt do an LS in a Z. But trust me I get why people do the swaps.

I would however throw one in an FD in a heartbeat if I had the time and means right now to do it.

My first swap was into my 93 R1 RX7. I like this setup better. Less common. Unfortunatly though its about 5x the cost. lol

Hey when did you get unbanned? Welcome back! This kind of thing only seems practical if you possess the mad fab skills that you have. Great work and thanks for sharing - looking forward to the engine build pics. How did you squeeze in 325s in the rear?

Thanks. Believe it or not its more of a chore than anything to drive it. Its more trying to keep it straight than actually enjoying it lol.

Well Im running Enkie RPF1s with a +38 offset and a spacer to get them where I need them..plus my fenders were stretched moderately. I have about 15mm of space more than i did stock. The 325s actually sit in a little too.
