ATI owners Please state if your SC kit is trouble free or not in this poll
Many of us have read hundreds of posts regarding the ATI SC kit and debates have occurred regarding how reliable it is to own.
Daking350 started a thread that lists we have over 25 members on this site that own an ATI SC. Others own the kit from other sites including G35 owners.
I have spoken to Daking350 through several pms discussing how this list of ATI SC owners can be useful to people on my350z.com. We felt that creating a poll to determine the real number of people that are having a trouble free experience owning an ATI SC vs. those that are having problems would be useful. We can at least end the debate on how many problems are occurring and be able to determine the extent of those problems. Hopefully, this poll will eliminate terms like a lot of ATI SC owners are having problems and/or very few owners are having problems. I read all of the current threads regarding ATI SCers and tried to outline all options that might be included in this poll. If I omitted an option, please state so and forgive me in advance for the oversight.
I hope this information clears the air on these issues. Hopefully with the work of Jesse and others, future problems will be reduced and possibly current problems will be fixed without a good chance of reoccurring.
Thanks for participating in the poll .

Jesse:
You are 100% correct. I thought I had thought of everything but sometimes it takes others to see glowing omissions. Sorry.
I dont think I can modify it now. Administrator, please change the poll to reflect Jesse's suggestion, it is a good one.
Jesse, FYI, I am currently pm'ing every administrator on this forum to try and get them to modify the poll to include your suggestion.
thanks,
Jeff - zland

Because what happened to Max, ravaz, and others scared the crap out of me. I could have afforded a procharger, but decided to go N/A after reading about holes blown in pistons here.
EJ, good suggestion. For those posting before the moderators can get to changing the post to multible selections, please pick the most serious problem you might have if there are more than one. You might even post multible problems if you have them.
Hopefully, a moderator will fix the poll before most people take the poll anyways...
Good night everyone, Jeff - zland

I think you guys are going a bit overboard with all this. I don't know how many times one thing can be discussed, but it seems that in every thread on this board, ok every other thread, it's the same thing over and over.

I am hoping that ATI makes some changes in how they train and promote authorized installers. I am also hoping they sell a kit that is really complete with the safety items that are needed to prevent the possibility of total failure. I would like to see them either do a recall to make it right or provide us poor fools who were lead to believe their product was safe if we didn't mod our system, with the proper items to make it that way.
I will be the first to admit that so far all my problems have been fixable and are directly related to how their authorized and trained dealer did the install. Yet now with their new tech alert am scared to even drive the car. Let get real .. how can they sell a product ment to make the car go faster and then after months of use come out and tell us we really can't. Things like don't hit the rev limiter, don't feather the trottle, don't use your traction control, don't use your stock plugs, don't let the car slide sideway and so on.
I don't think any of the 25 procharger owners on this forum could in good conscience recommend this product even to an enemy!
i totally agree with you ravaz. will the other SC companies go through the same amount of flaming if something goes wrong with someones car? this topic is getting way out of hand. i know some people that don't even like coming to the boards anymore because of all the flaming. it gets old quick.

I however think, since it is obvious that ATI visits and reads this post they should know all the problems even satisfied customers are having.

Every thread about ATI or Superchargers or Turbos etc.. is the same on this board. That's all I'm saying. It's a bunch of crying and repeating. You people wonder why ATI doesn't want to come here and post anything too.
The purpose of this thread is not to go over the issues another time, we have done that. It is to acutally get numbers of how many problems are occuring so we stop arguing that issue. We have posted hundreds of posts yet that simple fact is not clearified. That is the purpose. Until now, no one knows the percentages of totally happy customers vs minor probles vs significant problems.
I feel this poll will make it very clear to all what those numbers are.

Suggestion for a poll that might get more attention from ATI, installers, and potential customers:
1. Do you feel you had enough information to make an informed purchase?
2. Do you feel your installer was properly equipped (tools and information) to install and support your installation?
3. Do you feel dyno tuning is necessary for the ProCharger installation?
4. Would you select a different manufacturer for FI if you were to do it all over?
5. Do you plan on changing to another form of FI even though you have a large investment in your ATI install?
6. Are you satisfied with your ATI ProCharger?
7. Would you recommend the ATI ProCharger to other Z and G owners?
8. Would you considering legal action to resolve your issues with your ProCharger installation?

BlownG:
Excellent idea on a poll. I suggest you make a poll with those issues. Basically it seems like we are doing two different type of polls.
Mine has to do with measuring the status of problems related to owners ATI kits. Yours has to do with kind of a JD Powell customer satisfaction survey. Both are valid tools.
Too bad all companies dont do these themselves rather than us having to do it but either way, as long as the data helps out, it is all positive.
I am trying (as well as others) to turn all of these discussions into data that will improve all products including ATI otherwise, it is just a bunch of arguing which helps no one.

I know for a fact that they trained at least one mechanic from Grubbs Infiniti who thinks he has been authorized by ATI to install prochargers on Z's G's and FX's. I know also for a fact that Grubbs Infiniti provided ATI both the G and FX that ATI used as their prototype. I also know for a fact that Grubbs Infiniti is representing themselves as an authorized dealer/ installer.
maybe you need to get back to your employeer and let them know about this oversight.
I am also curious .... when did you go from slamming ATI on a regular basis to now singing their praises ?????
Haha, on their payroll. That's right, I forgot, I work for ATI..
I'll be sure to speak with my employer about this, my mistake.
I never slammed the ATI kit, at most I might have said the FMU isn't the best thing in the world, and if there is a timing issue then sure they should look into it, I mean, my employer should look into it....... I slammed Altered Atmosphere, not ATI.

Douche Bag-
the scientific name for schmucks who roll up in public wearing wife-beaters or oversized jeans. Can also be found wearing sunglasses in nightclubs and/or sun-visors on backwards and upside down. These people should be drug outside and shot in the stomach, then used as speed bumps to prevent any neon-toting lowrider crap-mobiles from infesting the neighborhood and lowering property values
