Haven't seen the stock sleeves fail yet, have we? Anyway, building the engine again when you've already got a built block that just needs a HG and L19s seems a bit wasteful unless money is no concern at all. If you've got stiff valve springs and retainers already, some BC3 cams, a girdle and spinning to 8k might get you over 700 whp at a fraction of the cost?

ok.......if i got headwork and bc stg 3's without n2o what would you think that would ballpark me power wise?........i don't mind spending some money if i make the power i want with the 18g's.......i just don't want to waste the opportunity of having to pull the engine and just put cams and headwork and then only put down 600whp on a dynojet cause i'm already @ 571whp so all that money for only 29whp isn't worth it

Porting heads for most and you is wasted money. BC3's are the way though to max that kit.

Regardless of what shop blows smoke up your cornhole (which you seem to like) dont trust that they have a track record on a shop car or a drag car with sleeves. At the end of the day when your sleeves fail they arent gonna fix it for free, and your a$$hole will be so swollen from the labor and parts rapage you wont have money for your Preparation H.

You are watching to much F&F, you want to max an 18G kit AND throw N20 on top? Calm down Vin Diesel, that car will never hook up and you will have f@ggots in Dodge Caliber SRT4's beating you from a stop. Its at this point I literally started to laugh.

18G + BC3 + fuel to support it + great tuner = a Z with an actual powerband that has POTENTIAL to rape even the highest dyno number producing, $hit talking queens on this site. Dont let anyone tell you otherwise.

edit-if you really want 850whp, max a Greddy kit with a nice tested 3.5l block. Then add N20. 861whp has been done this way on a budget build. FWIW to you, the N20 kit was removed bcause the car would spin in 5th gear at 60mph, just useless power. Be warned though, while a few shops/owners have pushed as high as 906whp on a non sleeved block, Id consider 800+ seriously pushing it.

All these guys spending stupid money on builds to crack 850+whp, and their powerbands look like d!ck, you could do what I posted right above and stomp them with a powerband under the peak numbers, all while saving money. If they tell you otherwise they just dont know any better. Good luck Vin...
