I was trying to see if anyone knows if Greddy 3" turbo TIC has drone..... I'm between the greddy TIC and the motordyne.. Motordyne is just very pricey. I like the way both sound just a lot of people complain bout drone on a lot of exhaust. Thanks guys....

I'm twin turbo.. I'm really stuck between both. The motordyne is back ordered for a min of 7 weeks they only have the hariaki ( think thats how u spell it) in stock. $600 dollors more tho and I'm not really sure how they sound. The greddy sounds really good just don't want rasp or drone.

 

I have a single exit Greddy TI-C and i dont mind it. it does drone a bit tho. and its not 3in more like 2.75.

 

yea yea thats what i heard 2.75''. Is the motordyne a true duel? Cause it doesn't seem that way. If you look at it it goes to a single inlet, to a resonator, then duel outlet. Can anyone explain? ( motordyne tdx v2)

i have the TiC dual on my TT set up removed the resonators and silences and its on AAm testpipes no drone and sounds pretty good, its not really a 3" tho inside its like 2.75"

 

My Ti-C does not drone much, maybe at low speeds, but it does not drone on the highway. My old single JIC droned so badly I bought this. I like it, but it was not cheap, that's your trade-off

 

Is your car NA or FI?

I believe 3 inch diameter is too big for NA. Correct me if I'm wrong though...

I have a this on my greddy TT and it has little/ no drone... my brother has it on his NA Z and his sounds nasty as hell and very slight drone which is more then reasonable.

 

The Motordyne TDX v2 is the only 3" true dual exhaust that I have heard that has no drone. It is true dual - there is an x-pipe muffler incorporated into it though. You can choose 2.5" to 3" (for NA) or all 3" (for FI).

If you already have an exhaust, I would consider adapting just the axle back pieces of the v2 shockwave from MD to eliminate drone. Or custom fab something using the Dynomax VT muffler.
