Default 100mm pistons

Hi guys, I need some suggestions for 100mm pistons. I'm about to talk to CP, but would like to hear what other people have to say. They need to be able to hold up in a 1000 rwhp engine and be 3.94". Any suggestions of what else to look for, dish size, compression, and do forth. If there is a piston that I don't have to wait so long for that would be great too, or if it is anyone that have some in stock pls let me know

Thanks

Yeah I got a sleeved block and we checked it and saw that we need to take about 0.005" of to get it perfect, so that is why I need 3.94" pistons, and I hope that CP is calling back soon as time is running out :|

I highly recommend CP, and have used many of their 100mm sets. Give me a ring to discuss and I can help you out on price too.

I have Forged Performance spec Aries 100mm pistons. They seem good so far although I have not pushed them to my goal of 800whp yet

We may have a set on the shelf. Our extreme duty pistons were the first of their kind on the market many years ago, and still a bulletproof strong piston. CP makes a good piston too, but I would have it customized.

Call us anytime.

Thanks guys, looks like I'm in the right direction at least

Hal, nice talking to you

Sharif if CP will need to much time, do you know what exact dimensions yours are, I need 3,94" or 100.076mm as we need to bore just a tine bit to get it exactly round.

To get proper piston to wall clearance, you will need to take a little more out, regardless of what piston you use. Typical clearance is .005" for this piston style.

Sorry, I think I put that wrong, he plan to bore it up to 3.94" from 3.937 that we have now to get it perfect. So with that said how is your pistons to that ?? and what about coating for the pistons. Also the sleeves how much can they go, 100mm but is 100.1 or so ok ?? anyone that knows ??

Thanks

You machine the Bore to match the Piston, not the other way around....

I know what way you do it, but the sleeves is 100mm and I don't know how much more we can take them, as right now we are around 3,934", that is why I need to find out from Sharif what he had on his shelf, if I order from CP I will order the size my engine builder told me to and then I let him finish everything up. Has anyone bored it more than 100mm and if so to how much and this is Darton sleeves
