Default The SportZ SC comparision date has been set

I have been hesitant to post the exact date and location of the testing before now for the SportZ supercharger comparision testing. I was not sure if Dave at SportZ magazine wanted a group of people there during testing or not and the dates for testing were still up in the air so to speak.

I just got an e-mail from Dave and he is fine with people that are interested to watch the testing. We have an ATI SC 350Z, Stillen SC 350Z intercooled, and a Vortech SC 350Z.

As Dave said in his e-mail to me " We have no problem with enthusiasts coming to the two events. In fact, let's promote it. In the next week we'll have the specifics (directions, etc.) that we can post on the web. For now the schedule is as listed below in my earlier e-mail and I don't expect it to change."

Here is the schedule as of now:

Sat., Dec. 13th @ Qualcomm, 8 a.m. -- Autocross
Sat., Dec. 13th @ Carlsbad drag strip, ~2 p.m. -- Drag Strip
Mon., Dec. 15 @ Stillen -- Dyno

Jeff - zland

PS: for those of you that have been following the progress of this test for awhile, you might remember others being involved in the testing.

Those people are still involved. The issue was they could only test so many cars at one time thus there are 2 parts of this test planned to happen. Part one is posted above which will focus on all availible SC kits for the 350Z. Part 2 we are hoping to have Chestons PE TT, Mossy's NA (and/or Richards 350Z), and hopefully DW's will have their SC 350Z ready by then.

Bob:

Dave e-mailed me and mentioned they wanted a stock 350Z to be included in this test. I offered my Z but it has NISMO sway bars, aftermarket wheels and tires much larger than stock. Dave felt my modifications did not represent a stock Z thus not an accuate baseline. So, it looks like we need a baseline stock Z for the test. Have you guys found one for the test yet? We are only 11 days from testing so time is running out.

Daytona, I think we already have it covered, but pleeze stay tuned.

Note to Sport Z: Daytona350Z is the first to reply -- if we don't have it covered, Daytona350Z is our man. Make it so -- thanks.

I think daytona350z's Z is a good choice. The blue photographs well for the article.

Isn't blue Z's faster than the other colors anyways? My slower SS will be there to check out the event, hope to see a bunch of you guys on Saturday.

It's good that I live maybe 30 seconds from qualcomm...I might have to make it out for that.

As for carlsbad...is it an open race day? I might go ahead and do some runs in my z there too even if it couldn't touch the others. But hey, it'd provide a baseline.

Spyre & everyone else:

check out this thread -

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....668#post561668

You are all invited to watch the test at the stadium and run your Z along side the test cars in Carlsbad. The thread above explains it all & gives directions and times etc.

We hope to see you there!

Jeff - zland
