well, Got my **** wrong.....learned...and am moving on

I ordered the 10 psi pulleys and will be using them for now. Ill run this set-up until winter and be going with a tt on the new block when its done. The blower is capable of 750hp but on the G35 application they can only get it to spin up to 12psi aparently. Sadly, I wont see that with it. There wouldnt be a point in building my block to 8.8-1 compression to run 12 pounds, itd be basically what I can run at 10 pounds on 11-1 stock. Ill get the block done, sell this kit, and go twins and never look back. Either way, for what I spent right now to enjoy 150+ more hp for the summer, my fealings arent hurt lol

It will be great for a stock block and I am sure you will have a smile all summer long, I think eltness ran a 12psi pulley on his stock block??

I agree with etless, I would never try and get 750hp out of SC, ok, maybe if I had more money the buffet, but that’s besides the point.

The C2 blower capable of 750 hp, maybe on paper… they do list it in their catalog as having the capability to generate 24psi at 80k rpm.

This explains how when I ask the question, how many teeth are on your 12lb or psi pulley I never get a number that adds up. The used kit I was looking at came with lightly used 42/24 teeth pulley set. The guy mentioned telling Procharger the makeup of his setup and they gave him a pulley combination that would hit roughly 12psi. He mentioned hitting 409whp and said the pullies were so small because of all the intake restriction on the front side of the G35. The smaller pullies created a higher SC rpm and obviously more power. He mentioned with the intake design on the 350, it would probably make more power on the 42/24 pulley set.

It’s a shame you’re giving up and eventually going with TT’s. Have fun constantly worrying about breaking stuff when you really get on it and having to constantly monitor the gas 1-3rd.

Talking with Procharger, the most they can get the blower to make is 12 psi. Then its done. So once I go built even at 12 psi, there is no more power to be had. on 8.8-1 compression I would be left sitting at 400 whp with no more to gain. If I ever want to reach 600, it just wont do it. And trust me, ive always been a fan of the procharger. I sold my 04 mustang GT with the P1SC procharger unit on it to get the G35.

Like I said, I'm no expert at this stuff, hahaha... If that's what Prochargers telling you then it must be legit. Kind of sucks, but that's the limitations of PC and the VQ.

My goal is whatever it makes! I've got all the SC supporting mods and more to come... I figure 10:3 compression on a built motor, 7k redline and the 42/24 pullies will get me to 425whp. Maybe wishful thinking, but hoping nonetheless

GL,

ps i don't hate turbo setups, i just think some setups are a little much for the DNA of our cars.

yup!

i made 393 whp running 8.5 psi with the 9 lb pulley on the dyno dynamics.
Couldnt tune over 6500 rpms because of some fuel issues i had to take care, nothing huge.
The oil wasnt because of bad seals, it was just some messy leftovers from the install and spit all over the place, once i cleaned it...no more mess and ive been driving it pretty daily.

so i'll prolly hit 400 over a little over by the end of a couple months.
plenty of power for me

^post back here if you ever hit over 400whp on the stock block.

Also, iirc, 7-psi equals 38/27 teeth on the front two pullies (N1&N2). So I’m going to assume you have 39/26 teeth on your 9lb. pullies. Anyway you could confirm?

I’m asking because I still can’t figure out what the 42/24 teeth equate to in terms of lbs. or psi!? Procharger is a pain to get a hold of... and inquiries require a serial number...

Thanks,
Zquicksilver

Ps, nice dance moves buddy!

he already did... 393 on a DD is quite easily >400 on a DJ. I don't really consider anything other than DJ numbers worth 'comparing' on the internet
