Help: Turbonetics 350z Idle issue.
Hey so I just finished installing my ST kit on my z yesterday. I started the car up and it ran fine until normal operating temp. It idles fine for about 25 seconds and then the idle drops down to like 200 rpm and almost stalls but then jumps back up and repeats the cycle.
I have checked obvious things like intercooler piping after the MAF and plenum/ injector leaks but did not see anything.
ALLDATA at my work says that once the ECU/ throttle body or battery is disconnected you must do a air volume relearn for the throttle?
Has anyone experienced this?? might be able to post some videos if needed, i'd prefer not too mess around with the ecu as it has been flashed and I dont want it to mess anything up!
The altitude is also like 3500ft up here so im not sure how much that will affect the tune. I only need it to work for a month or so till I can get a haltech.
Thanks!!!
Jim

hmm i would think it not getting enough fuel and the ecu trying to compensate for it but cant sustain it sense the tune has other parameters. hopefully some of the more experience fi guys can give you a better answer.
I would triple check for a leak somewhere after the MAF...
Well, having less air at your altitude is probably a good thing considering you are not tuned. Accelerator pedal learning, throttle position learning, idle air volume learning are all steps outlined in the service manual which you can find online on this forum and others. I don't recall off top of my head where they are posted. Also I think getting tuned by Osiris for wastegate pressure on a TN may be a reasonable option for you (BEFORE you boost).

all fixed
It was the injectors/ tune, it was shutting of the injectors for some reason because the computer was seeing too much fuel ( they sent me 440cc instead of 380cc) I purchased injector dynamics 725cc injectors, Fuel rails, Haltech platinum 350z, harness, innovate widebands, haltech boost soleniod etc. Had it dynoed and pulled 379whp @ 6psi. Shooting for over 400 on 9- 10psi but I have to get a normally closed switch and wiring to hook up the launch control first.
The car runs and idles like a champ now and I have had no problems whatsoever. knock on wood***
