Well I have had my Zin storage for since Thanksgiving. I finally brought it about a week or so ago, and the Vortech is making a terrible sound. It doesn't appear to be the standard Vortech sound. I removed the cog belt driving the SC and it sounds okkay, so the problem appears to be isolated to the SC unit.

Know it is tough to diagnose over video. But thought I would get your much appreciated input. My shop says to send it in. Unfortunately my Vrotech went out of warranty on 2/28, so hoping Vortech will work with me on it since it has been in storage for the past 6 months so I had no idea of the problem. Thanks ahead of time.

 

Does sound like bearing noise above normal Voretch sound..

 

could be that your belt was/is too tight the Vortech rebuilds are only like 250 bucks...
