Drift. Lol, Zach what up. Glad to see you finally put that work in. I've had mine for 3 years longer than you and I still only have a pop charger. Good luck with everything.

The Competition Clutch Stg4 4 works well for street driving (for me) but I hear they burn up racing.
I'd sell your PL kit and go twin, the Greddy kit seems to be the best option even after all these years, they did not sell out on the turbo quality. Coming from a PL owner, you won't stay happy with your 375 DD horsepower and want to upgrade. Then you'll see you are going to struggle to get real power and wish you had a kit that easily breathed 500 whp. Then you look at the money you are losing from selling your used kit, the cost of the motor and new turbo kit, the time and headache from the first build dialing it in, then you get complacent with what you have (multi-step process).
...but it is a good kit for a stock block if that is all you want to do

does powerlab use a properly size TIAL stainless V-band turbine housing?
How many threads are there about Powerlab having backpressure issues under real world conditions with multiple users?
no one really cares if you bought cheaper parts for much cheaper. The turbine housing alone on the Momentum kits makes it superior. Dynos show that as well.
Sounds like you already bought the kit, and being on a stock block it wont even matter.

OP,
Don't mind the PowerLab haters on here (most of whom talk out their *** and/or have no 1st hand experience with any of the single turbo kits mentioned). The fact is that despite the forum drama and BS with a few negative threads, there are a lot of satisfied PowerLab end users out there and it's still the most proven single turbo kit for the VQ35DE.
Thank you for your service and good luck with your build project.

good luck on the build, +1 for the oil cooler. I would suggest a dual clutch, especially if your lookin at z1, they have one for like $1200 i think. That's the one I'm lookin at.

He's not talking about the TiAL wastegate and BOV, which both kits have. He's talking about the TiAL 1.03 AR turbine housing that is used on the Momentum kit. The PowerLab kit uses standard Garrett turbine housings with a choice of either .82 or 1.06 AR.

I would say garret is a better choice wouldnt u agree? Im sure both kits are awsome..i mean i was going to get the momentum kit at first..before i learned about powerlab..they are so damn cloe ro being the same but power lab to me seems just a little better if u compare the whole complete kit...i paid less for my power lab complete kit than i could for a tuner kit from momentum..thats all im gunna say about that. But i couldnt beat the offer..

Gt35r turbo...both kits
Tial mv-r 44mm. Both kits
50 mm Q bov tial...bothkits
Polished 3" piping powerlab. Ugly piping with welds everywhere...or pay extra for powdercoating with momentum...
600cc injectors...both kits
Turboxs utech Powerlab...uprev...momentum. I like turboxs dunno much about the other
255 walbro fuel pump. Both kits
Much larger intercooler 23 1/2 x 12 x 4 powerlab vs 22 x 9x 3.25 momentum
Complete power lab kit cost me 5779 vs 6999 for momentum
I’m actually building my engine right now (ordering all the parts the weekend, mild build that’ll be utilizing stock heads/cams) I’ll be keeping the PowerLab 35R in original form too; not swapping out the housing and I’m not adding headers (the factory manifold are more than adequate)… I’m sure it’ll make 500whp easily, was recently done by another local Z owner… So I think the PL kit is a fine option for the OP.

on adding a oilcooler to your list. Especially if you plan to drift.
