Default Figured it out

Ok so I had my car in the Nissan garage for a few hours. We had the Nissan ODB hooked up and it finally popped a code. 138% LEAN. So that pointed to changing the Mass Air Flow Sensor. Which we did and it still had the same issues with the measurments running very lean. So then we hooked up a fuel pressure guage and BINGO! I was running under half of what i should have been. This explains the long crank starts and the cut out at high rpm's. I havent put a new one in yet since the parts store was closed by the time we figured it out. So we are about 95% sure this was the issue.

Now for anyone who can add some light on this. Does it need a whole new pump or is there some sort of selenoid i can replace?

depends what is causing the low feul pressure. you have to replace the entire pump if its not a regulator issue

Sorry for this late reply. It turns out my ENTIRE issue was the fuel pump regulator. And to str8dum1's point..you DO have to replace the entire housing if its the regulator. They do not sell just the regulator itself..so $275 dollars later i can finally feel good about driving my car again.

sucks, cuz anyone that has done a return fuel system mod has them sitting around, since you have to pull it out and replace it with a machined passthru
