Default FI sedan attempt 2: V.Greddy

Well, finally received my Greddy TT kit courtesy of JmicaelK last Friday

so somehow i'm going to try and shoehorn all of this nonsense under my car...again. but someone take a clear look at the crappy photos i took and see if you can find it....

thats right...i'm missing the oil pan

i shot him an email and hopefully i'll get it soon...just waiting on a response. if worse comes to worse, wheres a good place to get a replacement? i searched Greddy's website and saw it was approx. $300...any idea if you can find it cheaper somewhere else?

Glad it turned out that the seller was legit from your thread in the marketplace. I'm sure it's just a simple error and it'll get worked out.

can't i use the stock oil pan with a spacer? thats what i was able to understand based on research.

either way, this will be fun. i haven't really done any wrenching but figure this will be an exciting (read: frustrating) way to learn about our cars.

You can use a spacer with the stock pan. Good luck with the install man, litoflow just did a self install, he could probably help you out with questions too.

FML...just realized that he didn't send any of the hoses that originally came with the kit. so i'm off to buy an oil pan spacer and some new hoses. guess i'll look at that as a blessing in disguise.

you wont need all the charge pipes listed in the install manual for the kit. A lot of those pieces get replaced when you install the intercooler. There are separate instructions for the two "kits".

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GRedd...Q5fAccessories

May have to get you a new set. I wouldnt install either one knowing 1 is cracked already.

If you dont want to go through ebay/canada try contacting Tray@forged. He helped me get some greddy parts I was missing for my TT kit.

Tis the risk of buying used, sucks.

yeah tell me about it. guess it wont all be worth it if i dont endure these things. but come on...you dont know about cracked manifolds??!!!!

called forged and since im on the west coast he couldnt help me today, but said hed research and follow up monday. any idea how much they are? im guessing no more than $1k....???

edit

thanks cux. my post was supposed to beat yours. someome wanted to trade my kit for his 928 vortech, but i cant entertain it knowing this.

oh well....gotta set some aside for new manifolds. now i wonder if i could turn them into some way to mount my logitech wheel....
