Thanks to this thread I will be ordering a kit for my 6mt sedan as well. Thanks Zimbo for being the test case for the 350Z kit on the 6mt sedan.

Zimbo how do you like the car w/ the SC on it? How does the car feel now with the SC? Any kills yet?

Well, I really ought to make you wait 3 months to read about it in print but... (just kidding).

So far I love it. I've only had the car one day but it feels great. If you're driving around with the family, you can shift early and it's not much louder than stock.

If you want to drive aggressively, man oh man is it fun. It really slams you back in the seat violently. No kills yet, but I let a friend drive the car and I'm still picking pieces of his jaw up off the driver-side floor mats.

Wow, that dyno is very impressive!!! The best I have seen. I bet your car is a beast!! Was that shop recomended by Vortec? I assume so, b/c they were able to tune your car. Very Nice!

Question

What was the install time for the vortech? And how much were you charged if you don't mind me asking?

That torque drop-off seems to be a characteristic of the VQ engine. This is where Nissan adds the timing that is causing all the FI problems. It looks like it still drops off but not as badly as when it was N/A. Any improvement over stock is a plus in this area of the curve.

I did contact Vortech about the cold weather problem.....They said that one guys blower did lock up and they replaced it.Said it is a rare occurance but it was advised not run it below 32 degrees . They told me they could put the other gears in it...but would be much louder....So Im going to keep researching......before putting out the money for SC..live in Nebraska....coldddddddddd
